“Riomaggiore is a lovely spot and this apartment is a mere 50 stairs up, which in a city of lots of climbing means it is a very convenient location. We were greeted nicely and communication for check-in was excellent, even though we arrived later than planned. Our host met us immediately and we were shown to a cute, spacious 1 BR apartment with a nice living, dining space and everything one could need for a short visit. The space was generously large, good radiator heat, and a small third……

“Place was pretty authentic to advertisement and reviews. Modest size, reasonable location (noisy, more below), and pretty clean. As noted by others, the place does not have A/C. There is a small fan and the windows open, but then you have to deal with noisy folks passing by through the late evening and early wake-up with the church bells. Pick your poison on noise vs at least a bit of cool air. Overall I’d consider coming here again if on a return trip, but might prefer to visit during a cooler……

“This was such a great stay. So unique. The home is beautiful and transports you back in time. After visiting the other towns in cinque I’m so glad we chose riomaggiore and I can’t imagine a better rental than Poalos. Just charming. So relaxing. One tip Get restaurant reservations way ahead of time. It’s almost impossible to go to dinner anywhere without reservations. This is true 7 days a week. So glad I booked rio bistro weeks ahead of time. There was a huge crowd waiting to get in at 7pm when……

“Very good stay, enjoyed the terraces with seating and views of the sea. Beds comfortable, nice bathroom and shower. Cooking in the kitchen was important to us, but the upstairs where the kitchen and 1 bathroom was was completely un-useable as it was boiling hot before even turning the stove on - no flow through breeze from outside, no air conditioner, and a sad fan that barely worked. Listing should note it's a steep walk from the train/ferry and then another 4 flights of narrow stairs to the……
