Casa Alegre - Colorado River Home | Private Dock + Minutes to Beach

"The Casa Alegre is in my honest opinion, your typical Matagorda River rental home. It's not a new home, but overall, it was clean decent place to stay. it had plenty of room for the 6 of us, and we had a lot of fun. We mostly ate out, but the 2 times we cooked simple meals, the kitchen had all the things we needed. My family and I used the pier out back for fishing and really enjoyed the beautiful sunsets. Made memories that will last and that's what matters! *Mosquitos were really bad but that's everywhere along the salt water just make sure you bring repellent."

Beach Retreat Minutes to the Beach and just steps to the Pool!!

"Great location, but the unit itself left a lot to be desired. One or two of these things are inevitable in any vacation rental, but this is the complete list of reasons why I do not recommend this unit and question the professionalism of the property managers.- Door lock has a mind of its own, it would not unlock or lock consistently. Yes, we triple checked the code- Bathtub drains slowly and fills with 3-4 in of water while showering- Dead cockroaches in corner of primary bedroom and living room- Ripped bed sheets and outdoor pillow- Keurig sounds like it's on its last leg took 20 minutes to make one cup of coffee- Toilet stand is cracked- Floor is uneven to the point where the door can't open all the way without forcing it which scratches the tile- Many cracks in the walls probably foundation issues- Upstairs closet ceiling sagging about 6 in around the light fixture. It looks like water is pooling inside it- Ice maker in the freezer does not work- The two passwords that were given for Wi-Fi do not work- When I asked Helen why the water was yellow, she said it was probably because we were so close to the beach. I guarantee you, other houses this close to the beach don't have yellow water. So it must have something to do with this property- Ripped furniture in the living room- Water stain on the ceiling in the living room near the entrance- Stains on the towels in the bathroom and kitchen- Missing lightbulb on headboard"

"The house was very clean. Smelled yummy! The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need! The hot tub was very fun! We did not catch as many fish as we would have liked but we think it was because of the weather. We had a great time. Hosts are very nice and communicated well with us when we needed it. And I only contacted them because there was a delivery made and I wanted them to know. We had no issues with the property at all! I highly recommend this beautiful home!"

Beachfront Condo at Matagorda Dunes with Pool Access

"Ocean views were really good, the unit inside is modern, comfortable and very clean. Beach access is decent with a path nearby, but an area resident has no trespassing signs posted so it’s unclear if the path is on private property or not. The car beach access isn’t far. The pool is great and the fishing in the local pond is also very nice. The check-in and check out times are firm with notices of fines if not followed. The drawback to this community is the exterior is dated and worn and in need of minor repairs which looks more like an HOA issue than an issue with the unit itself. Compared to other Matagorda locations would still recommend with the amenities and the interior condition. If they update the exteriors this place would be 5 star. "

Coastal Lagoon Retreat in Matagorda w/ Beach Views & Pool Access

"The checking in and out was very easy and simple. The condo had a great view of the lagoon. The top balcony you can see the beach and the waves. Was a perfect place to have morning coffee. All the decor was cute and perfect for a beach vacation. Also the TV has a feature will you can sign into your streaming services and them on your checkout date they are removed . That was very beneficial. The loft is a great place for the kids. They have their own bathroom and it provides a huge area to also play games out of the adults area. overall the condo is a 8.8 and would definitely stay again."
