One of the best and worst parts of exploring glaciers is they are constantly changing and you never know what you'll find from month to month. This particular cave was only around to a few months before it collapsed. I was fortunate to be able to explore it during it's short life. #adventure
The Matanuska Glacier is the largest glacier in Alaska that can be reached by vehicle. It is located north-east of Anchorage and the drive is about 2 hours of pure beauty. Make sure you reserve your glacier hiking/climbing tour in advance. This experience is out of this world! #Alaska #glacierhiking #winteriscoming #exploring #ice
Matanuska glacier is one of the land locked glaciers to the north east of Anchorage. It is awesome to go hiking on the glacier but make sure to have the proper shoes! I got out a little far and had to slide back close to the ground!
