Adorable Couples Cottage with Hot Tub

Welcome to Sugartoad Cottage, the perfect couples retreat nestled in the heart of Mathews Main Street. The cottage now has a new private hot tub deck for guests! Stay in the heart of downtown, but still feel tucked away with privacy. We love hosting and our goal is to create an Airbnb that has hotel-quality amenities. Your room rate is the rate; no extra cleaning fees here! The Home The bedroom features: a king sized bed with a memory foam mattress, thick comforter, and microfiber white sheets. Attached to the bedroom is a large bathroom with brand new washer/dryer, shower and appliances. The large barn door to the bedroom opens to the living room giving an open concept feel to the space. Spacious living areas include a living room with a 55" smart TV, (Netflix & Prime provided) and an electric fireplace conjoined with a dining room table for meals, working from home, or board game nights - games are provided! The kitchen is fully equipped with brand new appliances including: a retro fridge, large farmhouse sink, small oven and stove toaster, microwave, kettle, single beverage blender and other kitchen essentials we provie a Keurig and French press, coffee grounds, K-cups with Starbucks coffee, teas and hot cocoa, plus sugar, and cream in the fridge. Outdoor Space One of the highlights of our property is the spacious backyard. Unwind surrounded by tropical plants, flowers overflowing from the window boxes and numerous outdoor seating areas. A hammock, 2 large decks - one with privacy walls and a brand new 5 seater hot tub - a picnic table and stumps around the Solo-stove fire pit give you plenty of options to enjoy the evenings. We provide wood and starters for the fire pit. A privacy fence ties in the atmosphere to give you privacy from surrounding businesses. The charm continues as you sit and relax on the rocking chairs on the front porch, where you can sit and sip your morning coffee with views of the historic district, a mural, the library and Saturday’s “dollar book store” traffic. On a lucky weekend you might hear music up the street playing at the visitor center or Arts Center. Guest access Explore the vibrant community surrounding our cottage. Our neighbors are the Library, Visitor Center, garage, a grocery store and small businesses. Traffic noise is a minimum except for occasional light traffic noise down the street. A privacy fence separates the property from a grocery store blocking views and most noise, but still gives you easy access to grab some quick groceries.
