“We really enjoyed our stay here. It was a close drive to all the things we wanted to see in the area. The space is bright and the country views are amazing! We loved sipping our coffee in the mornings on the large patio outside. Great place for star gazing at night also! The beds were comfy, the bathroom heater was great and we also liked having the kitchen to cook some of our own meals in. The space was cozy and relaxing to come back to after busy days of touring around. There was one issue……

“Had everything we needed for one night stay”

“Even though there was a man there when we arrived, he only confirmed where to find the lock box to get our key. The rooms were very small and the equipment was only adequate. The second day there was no hot water. I read the directions in the book and found the gas bottles to switch them over. The location is very rural, pretty but a long way to stores and restaurants. The driveway is quite narrow.”

“Clean, everything on hand and friendly, helpful host. We had our own parking space and an outdoor decked area with shade umbrella. Beautiful garden setting. The only downside was available space for luggage, but that wasn't a bigger. All round would definitely recommend”

“The host contacted us confirming they were not available to meet us due to travel, check in details were clear and easy to follow, unfortunately the outside cooking facility's had not been cleaned since the last guest so were unusable, the unit was clean and tidy but a kitchen sauce left in the unit had mould in the jar, this unfortunately soured our view and put us off eating at the unit. On leaving and checking our card we had been charged and extra refundable deposit that was not detailed in……

“The tiny home is very tiny. Upon arrival the place was hot from the sun, and very dusty under the bed and dead bugs in the window sills. Glad we like camping, felt like that with the chemical toilet, minus the fire pit and bbq. Lots of windows but location is directly between two houses and on a busy road, not in a backyard with privacy to sit out without feeling like you are sitting in a stage. Ad is inaccurate, and host doesn’t respond till 12 hours later and a second contact attempt??? ……

“Absolutely lovely property. The house was quite comfortable and set in a quiet location. The host was very friendly and helpful. I would definately stay here again.”

“The air conditioner was broken and there was no heating from the second day and it was cold. The battery of the electronic key ran out and I couldn't put it in for about 2 hours. I contacted the owner in a hurry, but it was a pity that he prioritised his errands and did not respond immediately. ( It may be normal in New Zealand, but it was very uneasy for people who came from abroad for the first time)”
