The area is spectacular and breath taking. The view is out of this world. Stay outdoors and you’ll have a great time!
However….Secluded? Somewhat… if you don’t mind standing at the kitchen window staring at your neighbors on their patio 30 feet away and listening to the woman talking on her cell phone when you are out side enjoying ‘peace & quiet’.
And you will be standing at that window doing your dishes since theres no dishwasher and waiting for your butter to melt in the 20 year old microwave. Be careful to step ‘down’ into the kitchen - theres no warning. Light switches are a challenge to locate (at knee level). And opening & shutting the cabinet doors is an acquired art.
“Woodstove?” Not quite … a gas stove is more like it .. & good luck laying on the floor trying to finagle it to come on or stay on despite the verbose instructions. Bring a flash light.
Be warned ahead about the cable Direct TV satellite dish. There is NO INTERNET .,, you might miss this point when you see ‘cable’. You can only watch whats on at that time , many repetitive channels ALL with an uncanny amount of commercial interruptions. No Netflix, no Prime, no Hulu etc. You’d better have unlimited data on your cell phone plan. Also, the ad mentions a “stereo” …a.k.a. small cd player/radio. There were plenty of board games however. And there is a dvd player … but bring your own because they don’t rent them in town.
Bedrooms are nice but the mattresses in both rooms are soft and slope on the sides. Go figure. The 3rd night I just slept on the floor. But tons of blankets, however the pillows are all FLAT.
Living room is okay and outdated with a couple old pillows, and a scruffy chair thats seen better days. Remove the glass top on the coffee table as it is not kid friendly and slides off easily with sharp edges. The View from the living & dining room is spectacular without question. However if the weather is rainy you have to stay inside as there is a very short overhang on both decks.
It does come with a stackable washer & dryer … the bearings on the dryer went south on our 2nd day mid morning. We called right away and were told to expect someone at 1, and then “in the afternoon”. No one came or called. No call or follow-up from Vacasa. Bring your own laundry detergent.
Bathrooms were nice, & there were plenty of towels. Only one shower … if you’re a big person forget it, take a bath in the tub in the other bathroom.
