The property was very nice and the bedrooms with their own bathroom were great. However there are some safety issues of concern such as nails popping out of the deck close to the kitchen and the shower drain is not attached in the basement below. One toilet was not working and one fire alarm needed a battery change in the middle of the night. Also we paid for an early arrival and had call to have the key number to open and then found that cleaning had not been performed. We had to call and then wait an 1 - 2h until they were done.

Great views from the house and enjoyed the stay overall. The septic tank in the back yard was a little stinky, but did not impact the hot tub at all. Had to move firepit further away to avoid that smell which was not a big deal. Overall a nice place and good for families.

Great house

We had about 10 girls and all fit comfortably. The space was very clean and structurally gorgeous, the house had great views. We will likely stay here again! A few minor issues with the hot tub (and the shower head) but typical wear and tear for any rental property and Railey vacations staff were extremely helpful and prompt.

No Winter Outdoor Amenities

If you are looking for a place to get away and enjoy the beautiful Winter atmosphere in McHenry, this is not the home for you. None of the outdoor amenities were accessible. We even had to shovel snow ourselves from the front door. The fireplace on the main level was also not working, making our only meeting space far less cozy. No hot tub, no firepit, no outdoor seating and the dryer wasnt working to dry our clothes. For the price we paid and the expectations of an amzing Valentines/50th Birthday gathering we were highly disappointed.

Beautiful home!

Beautiful property with amazing views of the lake. Spacious for our party - six moms with six teenage boys. Hot tub was a big hit in the evenings. Gourmet kitchen and en suite bathrooms were also convenient. Location is great - easy access to Wisp and grocery store. Highly recommend!
