“Perfect little casita for a weekend getaway. The room was perfect and the outdoor fireplace and covered porch were an added bonus. We will definitely look to book this again when we come back to Bandera.”

“Our stay at Paul's house was really great. There were 7 of us- all a part of our family- who traveled from wisconsin, Illinois, Oregon, and Austin to see the eclipse. The house is very comfortable and when we had questions Paul was always available by email to answer them promptly. We had asked about building a fire in the fire ring and he drove about an hour to bring us some firewood and some sweet rolls. We have stayed in some VRBOs where the kitchen is not the best- just a few plates,……

“We absolutely had a blast feeding the black angus cows and Baby Girl, the donkey. We bought cattle treats from Tractor Supply locally and cold long stem carrots from the local Walmart. Our family also raised cows, so we were familiar with them and hand fed a few. The cows came every morning around 9 am and by day four, they were gathered “mooing”for us to come outside. (smart cows). The big bull would hang back and observed. Castroville is a small town gem. We recommend Blu Lacy Smokehouse for……

“We spent the night of April 7th in this home and it was the perfect location to watch the eclipse the next day. The host was very kind and her responses to messages were immediate and accommodating. The home was clean, comfortable, quiet and just a few minutes away from downtown. I would definitely stay here again.”

“We basically just slept here. Had hoped to spend a bit less time at the wedding reception and a bit more time at this property. There was a burned out light in the entry hall and a Yellow Jacket nest on the balcony, which are little details I don’t want to encounter. Otherwise the rooms are nice, roomy & updated with particularly nice bathrooms. ”
