Summary:
This spacious Fully Furnished 4 bedroom, 3 bath, house located in the heart of the badlands. We are located less than 2 miles from Medora. The property is surrounded by national grasslands which provide for excellent photo back drops, along with hiking, horseback riding, ATVs . Guests will find a fully loaded kitchen and living room to fit your needs. A wrap around deck with ample seating.

The property was clean inside and beds were comfortable. Communication was terrible; host did not respond to calls or emails. The lock was broken and we got it to work a couple times and on the last night we were locked out. Luckily??? A lock was also broken on one of the sliders and we got in that way. The hot tub was filthy and green and unusable. There were exposed wires on both ends of the house and the baseboard heater was hanging off the wall in the entry. I have reached out for partial refund for the reasons above and no response. Location was good close to Medora but overall the property was not good at all. Would never stay here again.

The house was okay! The AC units in every room were very noisy, the water pressure in the home was less than adequate. The ice maker and water dispenser on the refrigerator was not working or not hooked up. There weren't enough towels in the home for the number of people so resorted to using the towells from the hot tub. The location was great but the road construction and pilot car were slow which took a while to get to town.The rating reflected our experience.

Loved the rural setting of this home and the 4 bedrooms worked well for our group. The kitchen was stocked well with pots, pans and dishes. The hottub was a plus in the evening…especially with that beautiful full moon👍

Great location!

We enjoyed our stay at the Boot House! It was clean, spacious and quiet. Loved being close to Medora, but yet out in the peaceful countryside. So nice to have morning coffee on the deck and to also view the stars and night sky. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Medora!

Good for groups at Theodore Roosevelt National Park

Boots House is in a good location, close to downtown Medora and Theodore Roosevelt National Park's South Unit. It is great for groups with a lot of space and a beautiful view. We went in the middle of summer, and it struggled to handle the heat in the middle of the day but cooled down overnight. We didn't have enough towels out but found their stash and used them, cleaning and folding them before we left.

Family Vacation

Boots house was perfect for our family vacation. We had plenty of room for all 12 of us. Beautiful setting. Only issue be there weren’t any towels in the bathrooms, so we had to find some in the supply area. Also, there was very little toilet paper. Had to go into town to buy some since the property manager didn’t respond to our message about needing more. Overall a great stay!

Safety Needed

Overall, perfect location but some SAFETY UPGRADES needed. PEOPLE LIVE BELOW which is listed but you think it is clearly separated. It would be nice to have hotel locking mechanisms to the door leading to the basement as first impression was coming home to the people below smoking marijuana. As parents of teenagers to a two year old, this put our radar up. Also, multiple slides doors could have a block in addition to the lock. Lastly, the hot tub was not usually due to low levels and chemicals were not available to balance the levels. The host also did not make an effort to fix it during our stay.
