Took a bit of a hiatus recently to go to #japan and it was everything I dreamed and more. Thought this shot was an appropriate #takeahike entry as it was not something I expected to see in the middle of Japanese summer! Leaving in the morning from Toyama in 27+ degree (Celsius) heat to do the Tateyama Kurobe Summer Alpine Route, I thought the rest of the day would be spent in a T-shirt. What a beautiful surprise! Snow and volcanic scenery. And we even drove past some snow monkeys 💙. Falling hard and fast for Japan and its trekking routes, and finally making my Trover wishlist dreams a reality! (Tip: many more trekking routes are open in summer that wouldn't usually be accessible).

Communication with staff was incredibly convenient. There is a shuttle from Hakuba and the driver greeted me warmly. Upon arrival, staff greeted me at the entrance and at check-in counter. 年末年始２泊しました。駐車場がかなりぬかるんでいて、駐車スペースを確保するのが大変でした。施設の整備や清潔さは特に問題はなかったのですが、チェックインする時間に合わせて暖房をつけておいてもらえると良かったです。暖房器具が１台しかなく部屋が暖まるまでかなり時間がかかりました。

A good ski apt with a nice host.
Host Marcos is really nice...the drive to supermarket is very helpful, the information for skiing is ample. The ski in / out is convenient, only a few steps away from the gondola. Will recommend to friends.
