“Below expectations: no wifi throughout the stay even though they tried to fix it. Outside was not cleaned which we had to request. Several equipment not functioning (dehumidifiers, TV only in german, no curtains for some windows) and just across the house a dog kennel with 6 dogs who barked at everything that moved. Unpleasant stay.”

“VarennaHolidays staff were very helpful and responsive. Lines of communication were always open, and we felt very confident and supported throughout the whole process. The property was lovely-- great views, very good location, excellent restaurants nearby, close to waterfront and the ferry. The number of steep steps came as a little bit of a surprise.”

“Casa Giulia is a clean and modern villa. The kitchen is well equipped but could do with a few more plates and cutlery. It is in a nice quiet area with good views of the lake.The road upto the villa is very narrow at the top and we were given a large hire car so I would suggest reversing upto the villa.It is ideally situated to use as a base for exploring Lake Como with Bellagio just 15 minutes away and Como itself about 50 minutes away although the roads aren’t the greatest! “Das Haus liegt in mitten einer malerischen Berglandschaft, fernab von öffentlichen Straßen und Massentourismus. Wer die Ruhe sucht, wird hier fündig. Selbst bei schlechtem Wetter ist das Haus einfach perfekt, da man es sich vor dem Kamin oder am Lagerfeuer gemütlich machen kann und einfach das Alleinsein genießen kann. ”

“The villa had all the amenities we could require. It provided a very comfortable and homely base to stay. However little things like a broom was broken and the coffee machine didn't work should not happen.”

“The property was lovely. The view to Lake Como was spectacular. The hosts live next door and were very attentive without being disruptive. The only negative I can mention is that we used the kitchen to cook a meal and there were no essentials like salt/pepper/olive oil - most other VRBOs we have stayed at have those available. But we did have 4 delicious fresh eggs when we arrived and the hosts provided a mini happy hour with appetizers and wine on our first night. Overall a definite 5……
