Went to paint with friends and had a wonderful stay at Chestnut Cabin!

Beautiful property! The artwork and furnishings were amazing, the wrap around porch was a joy, and the whole experience at the cabin was wonderful. If I could’ve given it ten stars I would’ve!!

Excellent accommodations, well-appointed amenities, convent location, family enjoyed every feature of the Historic Chestnut Cabin.

The Historic Chestnut Cabin proved to be a wonderful property, offering a relaxing family atmosphere. The convenance of the cabin’s location was a plus allowing quick excursions to Mentone’s many amenities. My family enjoyed cooking kabobs on the outdoor charcoal grill, utilizing the outdoor fire pit for roasting hot dogs and making smores as we told stories late into the night. We had a blast!

Beautiful Cabin with Peaceful Setting

We rented the cabin for a small group church retreat. We found it to be clean and well-supplied with what we needed. The kids loved the outdoor games that were available on the porch. We would stay there again!

Perfect Cabin Getaway

Beautiful spacious cabin with updated modern amenities. Me and 5 of my good friends have been traveling together for over 25 years and this was one of the best getaways! Some of the coolest shops and eating at Wildflower cafe and The Hatter Cafe is a must…..the food was excellent! Can’t wait to go back!

Wedding weekend

Our visit to AL was an amazing weekend of family and hard work preparing for my daughter’s wedding. In spite of the long days of wedding prep we relaxed comfortably in a quaint cozy cottage in Mentone. The cabin was beautifully decorated in relaxing but classic pieces that helped us feel at home. The quiet surroundings created the perfect escape

Chestnut Cabin

This was a welcoming cabin with a lovely wrap around screened porch. It had been uniquely remodeled with very creative touches. The location was very quiet and wooded and convenient to restaurants and shopping. It was a great place to relax. There were four adults. We all loved it.

Quaint & Cozy Cabin

We made so many memories at the Chestnut Cabin. From the moment we walked in, our whole family felt at home. The house is cozy, quaint and inviting. All the bedding is super comfortable, and the updated bathrooms are a big perk! One of the best things about this cabin is the outdoor space. We spent much of our time playing cornhole and Bocce ball in the yard and gathered around the fire pit. A stay we will be talking about for years to come!

Wonderful!

Wonderful! The cabin is rustic and the furnishings perfect. We had a small problem with the heat. After informing the host, it was a short time before a repairman came to fix the problem. He even got us a fire starter and built a fire in the fireplace for us. The beds are comfortable. One bedroom has high beds which reminded me of my childhood. It was a wonderful get away weekend for friends.

Hidden gem!

My sisters, kids, and myself stayed for the Mentone Festival! The cabin is spacious but very cozy! So many details went into preserving the original feel of the cabin while updating it with a modern twist. Was very clean & the host was very quick to respond to any question's asked. It is so close to everything, but still gives the feel of being secluded. The kids enjoyed the screened in porch with the cornhole boards. The back stoned patio was perfect for gathering as we grilled then enjoyed smores around the firepit! Was the perfect weekend getaway! Will definitely plan to stay again!

Girl's Get-Away Weekend

What an adorable cabin to enjoy a fun weekend in Mentone, AL. The cabin is very comfortable and well stocked. Great kitchen with everything you need. Comfortable beds. Only one shower, tub only in the 2nd bath. We enjoyed the fireplace and a nice cozy fire all weekend. Lots of games to enjoy. Great outdoor areas too. We will return! So enjoyed our visit. Firepit Fun

This home is lovely with understated, classic furnishings and artwork -- not cluttered like so many short-term rentals are. Kitchen and laundry appliances are new. Master bath (shower only) is new. Although it is on a street with other homes, it felt very private, and the church bells from the Episcopal church on the corner were an added delight. Within very easy distance of "downtown Mentone" and Desoto State Park. The firepit was our favorite. :)

Family of 5 in Mentone

We have 3 teen boys and had a wonderful time @ this special cabin! The older ones shared a room with the 2 queens & the younger one lucked out with the beautiful private bath, queen bed & a fireplace in his room. My husband and I were pleased with our amenities in our space as well. I love the age of the place....just know before you go a few doors were hard to close & its not perfect, but very minor things. It snowed while there, so we didn't get out too too much. We brought our own firewood, played board games, watched movies, cooked & enjoyed the beautiful fireplace. We did go hike around DeSoto Falls & Little River Canyon- highly recommend those places. Our oldest is a distance runner in college and he got his miles in smoothly & safely around where we stayed. We ran into some cute shops, went to a farmers market & ordered pizza one night. The decor in this place is super cool, the antiques are interesting, sturdy, sparked some conversations with the kids & on point...it didn't uncomfortabe. Plenty of blankets too!!! We may have to stay here again.
