VILLAS AT SHANGRI-LA MERIDA, Mexico. Contemporary townhouse in the best area of Merida, San Ramón Norte! Beautiful design, fully equipped!! Just a block and a half from Andres Garcia Lavin avenue where you find shops, restaurants and bars. 5 minutes from Walmart Express and CityCenter, 9 minutes from La Isla, 18 minutes from the Historic Center and 30 minutes from Progreso & the beaches. Electric gate, swimming pool with bar, 3 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, utility/laundry room and 2-car garage. Desks, Smart TVs and WIFI in every room.

Serenity. Location. Amazing host

We were amazed at the property. The pictures do not do justice to the welcoming energy that immediately blankets you as you walk in. The host is beyond reproach. She is gentle soul eager to make real your desires.

Owner is nice and trying to get everything done asap…

There were some issues, but the owner tried her best to fix things. In general the house is nice. The little pool was really not for us since it is just standing water and in the heat it was a concern to get in because of bacteria possibly growing . I suggest a little pool pump to have it circulating and keep it clean. At first when arriving we got a bit confused because it is actually a townhouse with a main entrance. I suggest to mention the community name’ villas at shangri la’ so guest see immediately that’s the place. The location and house was not the disappointment but Merida itself was. It was not the right place for us … everything is quite expensive- restaurants are insane in prices and the service people are always ready for a handout… and getting upset if it’s not enough.. We had great expectations in Merida but there is really nothing to do. And if you think that driving out to progreso will satisfy you- no - it’s dirty and in general a tourist trap with all the shady people you like to avoid. We usually love Mexico with all its beautiful culture… but this trip was a disaster.
