「Nicely designed, bright and clean. Great indoor bike storage. A bit thin on staff at times and the bar is unfortunately lacking in all but a few basics. Location is very good with a short walk to the Cloth Hall and Menin Gate. The bathroom setup is a little different. Okay for a couple but would be weird with older kids or friends sharing a room as there is no separate bathroom. The shower and toilet open in to the room.」

It’s not the most chic hotel in the world, but definitely has the important features sorted. The restaurant menu is simple but good and reasonably priced. The breakfast is good value and varied. The hotel is remarkably close to the centre of town and no more than 10 minutes slow walk tk the Menin Gate. I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this excellent hotel. 「Reception was very pleasant, but room was bland and cold. Room requires thermostat on radiator - when turned on it heated the room well but then needed to be turned off before the room got too hot. Room needs decoration such as pictures on wall - bland white walls. King bed was two singles pushed together and a sheet over the top. We arrived in the dark and it was raining. 「De plaats en omgeving waren super. Geweldig uitzicht! Het eten was ook heel lekker. Alleen jammer dat er geen "simpele" of andere gerechten, naast die van de menu te verkrijgen waren. Het is een groen hotel, maar airco of andere verfrissing tijdens de warme dagen waren nodig. Ook mocht de kamer een update krijgen. De bedden en de kussens waren dan wel weer aangenaam. Over het algemeen fijn verblijf, met heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. We misten enkel wat comfort.」
