"Great place to stay to stage for backpacking, Rooms are big and the is a microwave for late-arrival dinners, Dog rooms are fine, just dog rooms. Overall, we had a pleasant stay."
"I had wanted to stay here for a while and finally had the opportunity in mid October. Definitely a shoulder season for the area, I was the only one there for most of my stay. Even so, the facilities were clean and well maintained and the quietness provided exactly what I was looking for.
The huts are well situated overlooking an empty field with a view to help provide a sense of solitude. The cabins themselves are beautifully designed, yet spartan. They strike an interesting balance of...

"We had a nice stay in this little charming inn. The room was small and could use some better lighting, but other than that everything was perfect. We also liked being able to walk down to the river behind the property. "
"The hotel contacted us about our original booking in March, letting us know that a Value Room does not include amenities, and we needed a fridge. We thought it amazing that they contacted and told us this! They let us upgrade to a Standard room. When we arrived in July, the room had a double/queen? bed, and we needed a king, which we had originally booked in the Value Room. The staff didn't hesitate to let us switch rooms, and we ended up with the perfect room for us! We loved the log interior and decor. Sent photos to friends immediately. Everything was clean and cozy. It was quiet and relaxing. We could walk our little dog outside the back of our room by the river. This is so much better than staying in the town, where things are crowded. It's only 1-2 miles from "downtown," but we are not "crowd people!" Great place to stay, even for one night."
"We absolutely loved our stay at Mt. Gardner! We could not have asked for a better place to stay in such a cute town. We are very hopeful to be back one day and would stay here in a heartbeat."
