Awesome design and location, walkable to everything . I had a room on the higher floor and it had fantastic views. The room was well appointed, had great toiletries, little knickknacks that made it feel like home. The inside/outside design of the staircase is beautiful and showcased the thoughtful design. Highly recommend and would gladly stay again.

Great Roma Stay

Great and safe location

My stay here was wonderful. I highly recommend Onto if you are traveling to Mexico City because it’s near everything. All you have to do is walk out your door and you’re welcomed by a nice neighborhood, walking distance to restaurants and shopping. I also felt super safe here and there is security 24/7. Diego and Chris at the front desk are wonderful and very helpful. I would definitely go back and stay at this location. The only downfall is that they don’t offer double bed options.

An extraordinarily unique, modern 'boutique' hotel, in an excellent location at the edge of the lively and highly popular Roma Norte neighbourhood. A new building with a high level of design and good amenities, with friendly efficient reception staff, and an excellent cleaning staff.

Fabulous!! Such a wonderful stay at Onto Tonalá. From checkin to check out lead concierge Israel and his team were white glove service, always available and making sure we were taken care of. The rooms and amenities are beautiful, stylish and clean. The neighborhood so cute. Highly recommend.

Beautiful Hotel - needs A/C

The rooms and building were beautifully designed, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The building really needs air conditioning. It stuffy in our room during the day even though it is winter and the weather is not warm.

Onto is a very beautiful hotel in a great area. The staff is friendly and does their best to make sure you are comfortable. They have full time security which is consoling. My only gripe is there is no heating and air but that's pretty standard for CDMX, also it's next to a very busy street so if noise bothers you beware. I would stay here again on the highest floor!

The ONTO property was very nicely appointed and the staff was beyond kind. The only big downside was it was very hot while we were there in March and there was no AC so we had to sleep with the windows open and it was super loud outside, especially at night. There's a club nearby and it was going all night long. Additionally, there were no screens on the windows so mosquitos got in and ate us alive all night.

Pros: Very friendly staff (Israel and Manuel at front desk were both pleasant to work with), nice interior design with big windows and modern decor, full kitchen with basic appliance, convenience location, etc. Cons: The water shield of the shower is bad - water leaked everywhere on the bathroom floor and will gradually damage the floor/wall. The bathroom had a terrible sewage odor during my entire stay so I had to keep the bathroom door shut.

Perfect apartment hotel to fall in love with CDMX

We had a panomaric apartment and it was wonderful. The apartment was fully equipped with a proper kitchen, living room, bathroom essentials and comfortable bed. The hotel is centrally located and a perfect spot to do some exploring by foot. Property is very safe and staff was amazing. Daily housekeeping is a nice touch you won’t get that at typical apartment stays. They have a friendly front desk team. Jessica was lovely and we felt like we had a knowledgeable friend to ask questions and get some tips for our visit. The hotel has two roof decks and even washer and dryer if you needed to do laundry. They had yoga mats for use and we were happy to learn that they are working on a restaurant and cafe to make the property even more appealing. Will definitely stay again.

The facilities were very nice and clean and the staff was very kind, helpful and communicative. The only complaint was the noise. The street noise came up through the windows and it was hard to get a good night sleep - passing traffic, people talking, and nearby dance clubs could be heard all night. There was no AC either so we had to have the windows open to keep some airflow happening.

The building and room were beautiful and this would have been one of our best hotel stays ever! But the bed was so hard and uncomfortable to the point we couldn't sleep and woke up with back issues (we're young adults, fit). We requested to change rooms the first morning but there wasn't any availability so we had to stay. Given the high price tag we paid for this stay we requested the hotel waive the mini bar purchases (5 items at $50) as a sign of understanding. Unfortunately, the staff didn't show any genuine interest about our concern, no follow ups or check-ins or even small signs of understanding, the fact we didn't sleep properly on our vacation in the city all 4 nights meant nothing to them. At check-out the receptionist even told us others have complained about the beds which we didn't see in any of the reviews (and why I'm sharing this here). Despite the receptionist saying they will waive the mini bar charges, they did not and upon returning home the hotel manager is gaslighting us by saying we didn't speak up and there is no record of our complaint - blatant lie. To summarize: beautiful property, just like the pictures, modern, clean, horrible beds and staff that couldn't care less.
