“A group of us went to celebrate a 40th birthday. This place was everything we were looking for. It was very secluded with no neighbors in sight! There were 11 of us and 2 dogs. We did a lot of fishing and paddle boarding (the boat and 2 paddle boards were provided at no extra cost!). Being from the city we all really enjoyed star gazing and we all saw shooting stars. The house was clean, the kitchen was well stocked and there was laundry on site. 10/10 would recommend staying here and we hope to……

“My husband, our 2 children and myself stayed at the property as part of our spring break. This place is awesome! This has got to be the most luxurious cabin we have ever stayed in. The pool/hot tub area was wonderfully maintained and the pool was warm upon our arrival. Plenty of firewood was provided and we used the indoor fireplace daily. Ample cooking supplies were provided, even skewers for smores which I had forgotten. The grounds and lake were expansive and private. Mr. and Mrs. Hockaday……

“Beautiful charming property. Wonderful communication with property management. Very clear instructions and directions which was much appreciated. Remote but a small town 10ish mins away if you need an essential. Docked pontoon waiting for you to captain yourself across the river to the island with the cabin on a hill. We loved the historic pictures on the fire place and learning about the property which is over 100 years old!!! We love history with our stays!!! The place was exactly as……

“We stayed here for two nights. The place is definitely off the beaten path and we liked it. Just be aware that the unpaved road is a little rough this time of year. We met the owner Mike not long after checking in and he was a really nice guy. I might try to come back during deer hunting (bow) season.”

“Roose’s Roost was the perfect cabin for our Fall trip. I wanted to see fall foliage and we didn’t even need to leave the camp for that. The yard was great size for the dogs to run around. We didn’t make it to Chris’ suggested hike to the sandy beach because of rain but maybe next year. The cabin was great, exactly what we needed. Thank you to Chris and Pam! Maybe we’ll see you next year!”
