The property is within an easy walk of the gorgeous beach. An interesting historical area and a history museum are near. A fine brewpub is within an easy walk.

This property was clearly built for this purpose and not a retrofit. It was clean and well equipped. Not in the heart of things but very close (small town) and quiet. Will be back. Thanks

Good family option
Very pleasant inside. Kitchen worked well, but amenities very basic. Bathroom was great, lovely tub. Mattresses were saggy. (Look into Purple mattresses for a good replacement.)

Super cute place to stay. Service was great. It has a wonderful indoor-outdoor restaurant right there in the same parking area. Great food. Its less than a 5 min drive to the beach which was wonderful. Close to the casino if that's your thing. Outlet mall down the road. I would definitely come back!!

Birthday get-a-way
Our room at Bridge Inn was clean and the perfect size for couples. It had a small kitchen with a coffee machine, toaster, and utensils. The location was a 10-minute walk to the beach, restaurants, and outlet mall. The best part was there was a bar and restaurant located there as well.

A nice quaint place. Comfortable bed. It’s nice to have a separate living room area. Coffee pot, coffee and kitchen utensils available along with small fridge.

Very friendly and helpful. Near everything we wanted. Clean. Was worried about the Industrial area. Not very pretty. But only a few blocks from the park. lake and arts district. We were there during the off season, so I'm sure it would be better in the summer. Would stay here again!

Nice place to stay
Rundown Lumber Yard area, that is being renovated to accommodations. Parking lot was a little ruff, outside didn’t look that impressive, but the accommodations inside were very nice.

Nancy - Thanx for staying with us. We like to refer to the 12 acres of our property as post-industrial. Nowhere else in Michigan City can you stay as close to Washington Park with the beach, zoo, lighthouse ...etc. We are also the closest property to the uptown arts district with shops, boutiques the better restaurants ...etc. During our busy season the property has a totally different look with our hanging baskets, decks full of colorful Adirondack chairs and the parking lot so full with guests of both the Inn and Bridges Waterfront Grill you won't even notice the rough spots. Hope you come back

We stayed in suite 23. Its an upper level room but the stairs were quite manageable. We received a text when our room was ready which was before check in time. The room was very cozy and clean. This suite has a jetted tub 😀. The property manager Pete was very nice. We were only in the area 1 night but I waa amazed at all the things to do in the area. We definitely want to go back for a longer visit in the summer. They have a website that you can contact separately that will save you money on your stay.

Our unit was very comfortably set up and was ready for our stay. The kitchen facilities had everything we would need: microwave, coffee maker, cutting board, eating utencils. We brought our own plates and napkins, but they were probably included also, but I didn't look for them. We would definitely stay there again.

Our stay was Very Nice! Decorated very nice, adequate space. Comfy and very warm housing. Easy checking in is always greatly appreciated! Bedding was clean, and beds were comfortable.

The Bridge Inn is charming and probably best suited for warmer weather visitors or weekends. (Our stay was mid-week in November.) Its location, while convenient, is in an industrial area. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. Self check-in was easy. I would not hesitate to recommend it.

Henry, thanx for the review. Yes, summer is great here. Off season has it's benefits as well. The post industrial location you referred is 12 acres of our own property. We the only hotel (other than the Casino) on the north side of MC, where the lake/beaches/arts district/independant food and beverage/outlet shopping ... basically where you want to be without drive thru windows, gas stations and Walmart traffic.

This property is closed to many interesting places. House keeping was nice. I have doubt with cleanliness because we found long hair (not our short hair)everywhere; bed sheet, towels, restroom.

Great little spot. Visited in the offseason, so not sure how loud the nearby outdoor bar gets, but in the autumn it was quiet (save for the periodic train, but I knew it going in and it didn't bother us). Perfect for a quick getaway and it would be great for kids who like trains and/or boats. Close to everything in Michigan City.

Our stay at Bridge Inn was Very Nice. We were greeted at the door of our room and the gentleman explained everything about the hotel, the Amtrack Train, cleaning, the wonderful restaurant and bar. It was a very nice, quiet, and clean. If we had any questions or problems all we had to do was call. My daughter and I had a restful time and loved to sit on the deck. Would go again.

The best place to stay in Michigan City!
I LOVE this place. So do all my family, friends, and work associates. Pete, the owner makes everything about the stay just perfect. He makes a personal call when you book to make sure you have everything you need, depending on the type of trip you are taking. He sends emails with great info for fun things to do in the area. The place itself is adorable!!! The view of the bridge, boats, train, birds, and restaurant is great! Having a cute restaurant on site is perfect. It’s a 5 minute walk to the beach and a 10 minute walk to the outlet mall. With great outdoor seating, cozy beds, and all you need in the kitchenette, it’s the perfect place to stay. I visit the area a few times each year. Once I stayed somewhere different and I will never do that again! I will ALWAYS stay at Bridge Inn, no matter what the reason for my trip!!

The old bridge moves trains and moved for the boats to come in to the marina and restaurant

60’s era motel at $230 a night. So disappointed we left without staying even though we had paid for it in advance. Water view was non existent. Three small windows looked into garbage collection area.

The owner was so helpful with information on how to spend our time in the area. The property was well maintained. The floating bridge was cool to watch. Can't say enough good things about this place. Looking forward to staying again next year.

This was our first trip to Michigan City, and the Bridge Inn made it a wonderful visit. Pete (on-site manager) was extremely helpful throughout, and the cleaning staff was great as well. We stayed mid-week, so things were probably a little quieter than usual, but we loved the area -- so much to do within walking distance or a short drive. Kitchen was well-equipped, with a real freezer. My son loved watching the railroad bridge swing open and closed as we sat on the balcony. We are looking forward to next year's trip to Michigan City and the Bridge Inn!
