Perfect Retreat

Location was wonderful. Cottage made you feel welcome the minute you walked in. Close to beach and walking trail. Will be coming back again in the Fall to see the tree colors change.

Great little cabin!

The place was just as described and in the pictures. It was vintage cabin but with modern conveniences. The screened in porch was perfect for bird watching or working. The beach was a bit of a walk but doable and we preferred being in a more quiet area with the longer walk. We had a wonderfully relaxing trip!

Peaceful Getaway

Just perfect

What a wonderful place for R&R. This lovely little cabin is delightful. It’s in excellent condition. Everything is updated for modern conveniences while offering old time charm. The bed is extremely comfortable, linens are high quality. The kitchen is well stocked. There are a few spices on hand, so be sure to bring everything else you need for preparing your recipes. The back porch is lovely offering a wonderful view of a gorgeous little garden. This place is a real treasure, and we look forward to returning.

Memorial Day Michiana Shores 2024

Beautiful wooded setting, birds feeding in the backyard a few feet from the screened porch, gardens and paths a pleasure. The cottage is vintage in the best way, knotty pine paneling, wood casement windows, and comfortable cottage furnishings. The lamps alone are delightful! Ceiling fans in every room and on the porch. ALL modern conveniences meanwhile - wifi, updated kitchen furnished with every utensil and cookware any cook desires, plus dishwasher, microwave, coffeemaker. Beaches close enough to walk for the young folks. Only drawback is lack of car parking at the beach, but easy to unload. My daughters and granddaughter stayed in a newer cottage nearby and we walked to Stop 50 for a late pizza lunch, and New Buffalo with its restaurants and beach is ten minutes north. Toddler granddaughter loved the sand and the baby waves! Highly recommend for a quiet stay while amazingly close to Chicago.

Great comfortable cabin in an ideal location

We loved our stay in Michiana Shores! The cabin is spacious for its size and filled with all of the extras. We loved that we could bring our fur babies. The cabin was filled with all of the extras. The location was perfect - walkable to the. Beach where dogs are allowed after 6 ET - perfect for sunsets. Would highly recommend this VRBO.

Perfection!

I can't say enough great things about this place. Our family of 5 had a fantastic time at this beautiful little cabin in the woods. You won't find a better location. The place is a short walk to the beach, a nice drive to both the Indiana and Warren Dunes, great hikes all around and you can take your pick of fun local breweries and restaurants to visit. The place itself is very clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed. Having the washer and dryer was SO nice, especially after spending a day at the dunes or the beach with our three kids (5, 4 and 2 y.o). The gorgeous screened in porch was a wonderful place for a cup of coffee or glass of wine. And the place is QUIET. Neighbors all around but you really felt alone in the woods. We all loved it and hope to come back!
