I'm amazed that this place is on the the list. It's a delightful backwater that once was a dam used by a nearby concrete factory. When it became no longer relevant, national parks took it over. The main camping area is below the hill on the left. To get to this point you ideally need a canoe or kayak and paddle down before climbing about 500 metres to this outcrop, similar to so many outcrops in the park. They're called pagoda formations.

“Our host was fanatic, she gave us a good sense of what was in the area to see. Which was quite a lot. This area is rich with history of the early 1900's shale mining operations. The scenery is truly amazing. It was great for us as Canadian to see some of Australia's wildlife from sitting on the deck having our morning coffee.We wish we would have staying longer in this area.”
