We had a wonderful stay in this lovely house. It was very clean and well stocked for our needs. This home is in a quiet neighborhood and only a few miles from Shipshewana. We had fun riding the Pumpkinvine Trail which was easy to get to and is a beautiful trail for biking or just taking a relaxing stroll. We enjoyed playing ping pong in the evening and I even beat my husband for once, lol. With the additional hot tub and firepit in the back, what more do you need?! Also, the communication we had with the property manager, Todd, was excellent! Thank you for an awesome stay.

Our family of four stayed for two nights. Very clean. Stocked with everything we needed including fire wood for the fire pit. Hot tub was perfectly clean and maintained. Beds were comfortable. We would definitely come back!

Great Base for our Trip

This is a nice property on a quiet street just off of SR 20, so travel to nearby areas is easy. We enjoyed watching the Amish buggies that regularly clip-clopped by just a half-block away. Home is clean and well-appointed. We appreciated the hot tub and nice backyard for socializing. Communication with the owners was great throughout our stay. We'll rent this again if possible when we come back to ride bikes on the nearby trails.

Lovely!

We were mixed age group of seniors, 40 something and teens. Our host was amazing, his father in law charming and the property beautiful! Very comfortable, nicely appointed kitchen and the dining room table is large and fun to gather around , we enjoyed the card games provided! Hot tub was bubbly and warm, yard games amused teens and the ping pong table was very fun too!

Perfect little ranch in a quiet neighborhood

This place was perfect for our family of six. My older kids adored the ping pong table and the hot tub and the outdoor space. My little kids were happy to find books stocked for them to read as I had forgot to bring some from home! All the coffee and tea and creamers you can need! I wish we could have stayed longer and I look forward to coming back to our little Rosewood house

I was slightly apprehensive about renting a vacation spot that I was totally unfamiliar with. BUT, once we arrived I was TOTALLY delighted! The house was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The back yard truly was a private oasis. And, we absolutely loved the ping pong AND the cornhole boards! I would definitely recommend! Absolutely Amazing quite place

My husband and I just stayed this weekend . We were impressed with the house and location. Its not far from all the fun activities and restaurants. The house was amazing , very clean and fully furnished. The hot tub(where i spent a lot of time ) was amazing along with the fire pit. Its a very quiet place. You will love this home . I plan to book again with my daughters next year to go flea market shopping. Todd was amazimg to work with. Easy check in and great communication. Ill be back 😁

We had a great time! The house was everything that was promised. Cute, comfortable and clean. Even small details were thought of to make our stay enjoyable. There were a few small things that could have been cleaner. The refrigerator, for example was not wiped out from the food that had previously been stored there. An upgrade on mattresses would greatly improve the overall experience. On the whole, it was excellent and we would definitely recommend it.

We came for weekend with friends. Home is well appointed, clean and well located. Lots of hot water for showers and a great coffee set up! We did buy disposable cutting board due to no cutting board in house and we bent the spatula while lifting bacon from pan and snapped the tongs while picking g up a steak. These items will to be replaced. Another minor detail: lighting is extremely bright, consider adding dimmer switches and consider chairs for the fire pit. Fortunately we brought our own camp chairs. Overall 9.5 out of 10.

Great Property Close to Everything

We were looking for a nice quiet rental in the heart of Middlebury and Shipshewana and we found it with the Rosewood Retreat. It’s beautifully renovated and offers so many amenities in a wooded neighborhood just minutes from the shops in Middlebury and about 15 minutes from Shipshewana. The bathrooms are beautiful and spacious, the kitchen is modernized and even has a Keurig coffee maker, complete with a nice selection of coffee pods. And it’s one of the first places we’ve rented that had the ice maker going. Sounds trivial but it does make a difference. Todd was very accommodating and when we had an issue with the TV he sent someone over that day to fix it. The only ding I would give is the recliners in the sofa in the living room are extremely hard to open and especially close. It took 2 of us to bring the foot section back down. Otherwise it’s a great property with a nice host!

We would definitely return!

Property was great! Perfect location for us in a quiet neighborhood. I really wanted to give this place 5-stars but there are a couple of areas that I think need to improve. First is kitchen accessories - it lacks measuring cups/spoons or any real knives for preparing meals. We ended up having to purchase a knife and cheap measuring cup/spoon set. Second is the internet - while it is fast we did not like having to input our personal information in and agreeing to the provider sending us stuff in order to logon. And finally, communication was great before we arrived, but a little on the slow side once we were guests. After 8 days of us being there I inquired for a second time about the trash and did not receive a reply until the next day and then someone came to get it. Overall, no "show-stopping" issues, but these things need to be addressed if you want a true 5-star review.
