Great cabin
My wife LOVED it here. Yes it’s an old cabin But it was furnished wonderfully and very comfortable. We had a great stay and have already recommended this place to a few friends. Over all I give it an A and this one ranks up in the top 5 of our vrbo vacation rentals

Middletown in the middle of history
Nice, adequately furnished "old" house. It was within walking distance of downtown and several restaurants. Various sights to see and things to do in the area,including The Washington monument on the Appalachian trail and some Civil War sights.

Perfect little getaway
Great place to stay even for an overnight like we did. The bed was comfortable and clean. Great host with specific details anout the property and our stay plus great hpuse rules. Would definitely recommend to others.

Wanted a nice place to hangout for the day for a birthday and was greeted with moldy wood smell when entering, very small cluttered interior which makes it very hard to breathe if you have asthma, most lightbulbs were not changed, couch is tiny and filled with junk surrounding it, bed had stains and bathroom had spider webs all over the surrounding area which made using it very uncomfortable, we sat down for 30 mins then agreed anything would be better than staying at in grandmas basement for the night, owner was nice but the address provided in link is wrong, waste of money.

Hello! First, the cabin is as described in the listing & pictures. The cabin was built in 1880 & all pictures reflect the style of the vintage cabin. Obviously, this was an error on your part in booking if you were looking for a hotel or modern stay. All other reviews reflect a clean stay so I will look into the comment regarding spider webs and such, but again this is a historic cabin with many wood rafters. I double checked the link and the address is correct and no other guest in 6 years has had an issue finding the property so again an error on your part. I highly recommend you staying in Grandma basement or a hotel and not any of my 5 star properties as reading a detailed listing when booking is not something you do nor is copying the address link correctly. Thank you & move on.

Cabin in Maryland.
We love this cabin. We only came in for one night but we would love to comeback for a weekend stay. It was like a trip back in time. Bed was very comfortable. This was a nice little fine.

This was a mistake
Owner was less than welcoming from the start (unlike others that thanked me for making reservations & immediately providing information to make my planning & stay nice) when I asked for reservation confirmation, I was (snottily) told that I should, "read the description of the property better that she would give me information the Thursday before check in". All other communication was the same;. snide & owner HAD to have the last, vitriolic word. I SHOULD have canceled but I encountered this too close to the start of the reservation & I would have lost all my money. (which I ended up loosing anyway as we left and did not stay even one night) The cabin was so chock full of "decorations" there was little space to sit. It was like Hobby Lobby exploded in this tiny cabin. Although the basic cabin by itself was super cute, the very musty/moldy/dusty smell kept us from being able to stay even one night. I have asthma and just sitting inside for 30 mins was unpleasant. Maybe this would not bother someone else who does not have breathing issues. This place might be ok for a ONE night stay. Also as others have noted, the bathroom & bedroom are up a very dangerous staircase with a large gap between the upstairs & the start of the stairs...so for small pets or children, this would be a horrible choice of places to stay. We are campers and very used to small spaces & "roughing it" but this cabin was too rough for us. (now just watch...owner will have something snotty to add now....lol)

Very immature review when considering the facts. I own & operate several of these & do not respond to every booking with a warm welcoming personal message when booked however the reservation is confirmed by the booking system and the very detailed ck in and ck out instructions are sent each Thursday before guests arrival. I am not sure why anyone with breathing conditions would book a hundred plus year vintage cabin as the home is constructed of wood/logs & the rafters are original as the rest of the small cabin is as well and would not seem a good fit for those that may require certain conditions. As far as the decor and such as I did state in my response to guest that the pictures & description are exactly as it is so I'm not sure what was expected. The description does state that due to safety reason with an open loft that we do not allow children under 12 and those with mobility issues should not book. So as far as I'm concerned, Meta did not bother to read descriptions, look at pictures, or read when the ck in and ck out instructions would be sent and chooses to complain about the obvious. And I am not a mind or health reader into what an appropriate property is for a guest but do my very best to provide a detailed description and have paid for professional pictures to depict the property exactly as it is.

Cute House!
We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was so cute. Not really complaints but the floors were very dirty( I had to wash the bottom of my feet before i could go to bed), we only had one thing of toilet paper between 2 people for 2 days so of course we ran out and lastly the comforter had some stains on it so we just took it off when we went to bed but overall we had a fantastic time and would like to come back:)

Cute Rustic Cabin
Great overnight stay in a safe and quiet neighborhood. Stairs to bedroom are narrow/steep without a strong railing, combined with uneven floor places, this would not be good for anyone with balance/instability issues or children. The staircase is open and could be dangerous for anyone not steady on their feet! Otherwise, is very clean and comfortable for a short stay!

Sweet, little cabin with all the warm, homey touches. Immaculately clean and well stocked. Close toHarpers Ferry, original Washington Monument and numerous parks/trails. Do not miss South Mountain Cremery for an outstanding dish of ice cream! Short walk to Main Street for restaurants. Special thanks for being pet friendly!

Perfect get away cozy cabin
We love our stay so much! The cabin was decorated for Christmas which really put my wife and I in the spirit. We found great local eating spots but found ourselves wanting to get back to the relaxing cabin.

Wife’s 50th Birthday Getaway
Our overall experience at the adorable Log Cabin in Middletown MD was absolutely amazing! I wanted to take my wife away (but not too far from home in York PA) for an extended weekend in an attempt to get her mind off of turning the BIG 5-0! IT WORKED!! The small town of Middletown is conveniently located within a few short minute drive of numerous wineries, breweries, quaint restaurants and pubs. We had such a relaxing and fun-filled mini getaway and will definitely plan on coming back to this spot! My wife and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts for opening up your place to us! Best Sleep in Weeks
We had such an amazing time on our trip out East, and it was punctuated by having such a quaint but comfortable place to stay. The cabin had everything we needed to rest and relax in the evenings (our days were very full of activities) and both of us felt like we had the best nights of sleep while we were there that we have had in a long time. If we ever head to that particular area again (It is so close to so many things!), we will not hesitate to stay in this cabin.

Cozy Cabin
My husband and I stayed for 2 nights with our dog. Very clean and cute touches to a vintage country look. The AC worked well. Few restaurants close by that has good food. We went to the local Washington Monument and Harpers Ferry. Frederick is very close by also.

Adorable cabin with all the charm anyone could ask for!
My spouse and I, along with our pup, Rosie, thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. This charming, fully equipped little cabin was perfect for us. We were lucky enough to have been there on the day Heather stopped by to water the plants and found her to be welcoming and helpful, and we were thrilled to learn a little history about the place. Location was great with an easy walk to Main Street’s restaurants and shops, and it’s a perfect home base for driving to Harpers Ferry as well as the Antietam battlefields. We also felt the price was more than fair for everything that was included. We will definitely reserve this cabin again if we ever decide to visit this part of Maryland in the future.

Lovely cabin in a cute small town
Overall, My husband and I enjoyed our stay on your property. I think everything was as described. Plenty of towels and kitchenware. It was beautifully decorated. The gas fireplace was also awesome at heating up the place, even from downstairs. I would say there are two safety concerns that should be looked into: the gap and no railing upstairs to the loft. Someone could easily fall through the gap between the floor and railing. I was worried about my dogs falling through. Also, I almost fell on my face because I didn't realize the floor dropped between the kitchen and living area. I would either put some kind of reflective sticker or let customers know upon entering so they are aware. Thank you, Ilana
