“The cottage is super cute and fit us all well. We were told that we would be sharing the water toys however I wasn't expecting to share the small front yard with the house that sits behind this cottage. The front yard is super small and it was awkward with having strangers literally sitting next to you. Not much privacy.”

“We stayed at a two bedroom apartment with balcony. Assigned parking space in the garage was conveniently located close to the entrance of the building and elevator. Apartment very nice and clean, kitchen well equipped, two spacious bathrooms. Bedrooms are a good size with an extra small room for luggage. Beds have very comfortable mattresses. ”

Lots of noise from upstairs - non-stop barking dog, could hear every footstep. Bed was the least comfortable bed of any place I've stayed in years; between the two, not a great sleep on any of the 5 nights. Neighbors shouting at one another outside at 2am. “The house was clean and tidy. We were there to just sleep and not entertain. I would say that for our family preferences, we’d stay in a more quiet area of the city. This part of Grand Rapids while charming is busier than we expected. This is no fault of the host. Her description of the home and what was included was spot on. It is an old house but VERY charming and cozy. Lots of great coffee shops and eateries nearby etc. Good value and stay overall.”

“I’de like to say it was a horrible time just to keep this little gem to ourselves but as we were staying there, we were actively trining to book our next vacation there too and everything was all booked up so I think the cats already out of the bag. The place is even better than the pictures. We took out the peddle boat which was a lot of fun. I would just say if you’re shorter than 5.3 it might be hard to reach the peddles. That is my only negative on this place. It’s on a beautiful lake. While……

“We loved our stay. So quiet, peaceful and relaxing. The listing is accurate. Which I appreciate. That is not always the case. Super clean! Plenty of space. Plenty of TVs. Nice sheets and towels. Comfy beds! Plenty of dishes and such in fully stocked kitchen. Very nice and safe neighborhood. Just two moms and two college daughters and we felt safe. Only drawback is the quietness required especially outside. But it’s a double edged sword. We also really appreciated the quiet and serene atmosphere.”
