“This house is cozy and just what our family wanted. The host was outstanding: very friendly, helpful, and responsive. The location is a quiet street and, most wonderful, the house is actually right on the water, so that at high tide the water is literally under the house and it feels like being on a houseboat. At low tide there's a beach right outside the back door. The location was one of the best things about this place for us; others we've had, on the Atlantic coast, don't, of course, come……

“Our family (2 adults, 2 teens, 2 large dogs) had a wonderful time at Casa La Cape - Anthony’s property. The property was in pristine condition- and every detail was carefully arranged for guests’ use from coffee pods, tea, condiments, to toiletries left in the bathrooms. I was really impressed that the owner texted me to let me know that the property was ready early and called me when I asked a question about accessing a dog friendly beach for our pups. We always bring our own toiletries and……

“Very clean, plenty of room for 4 families. There are trundles and extra mattresses. We stayed for a cheer competition and had 6 families (mom and daughter) with no issue!”

“We’ve used VRBO many times before but were scammed this time. We arrived in advance of a wedding in OC, NJ with our family and our pet to find this place in a total state of construction with no floors, furniture all piled up in the hallway, unflushed toilet, etc etc. All the while, some wacko is communicating with me through VRBO’s messenger app guiding me to the key for the house and saying “they’ve never had a situation like this before”. Happy others seem to have had a decent experience but……

“The hosts were wonderful, however the property was not. Kitchen accessories were greasy, not washed properly, disorganized, and not fully equipped. The heat in main area( kitchen/ family room) didn't work, 64 degrees. We had to use the oven to heat area, however it heated up bedrooms too much! Carpets were disgustingly dirty. Pillows and lack of blankets were not acceptable. The internet kept having to be rebooted. Lights out through out ”

“My family had a wonderful 5th annual OCNJ beach vacation here! The property had enough space for our 6 adulrs and 5 children and although not as close to the beach and boardwalk as we normally stay, the included VIP parking pass made that a non issue. There was a parking concern upon arrival that was responded to immediately and resolved timely. Jody is an extremely responsive host who made sure we were taken care of. Recommend!”

“The accommodations were just ok. The house is definitely dated, which I expected. The pictures of the outside seemed as if the house was tucked back but in reality, it is not. Just some of the issues were very hard and uncomfortable beds, no hand towels and only one wash cloth in the bathrooms, no towel racks in the master bathroom, very poor water pressure, no paper towels anywhere. Although the main areas were clean, there is some deep cleaning that needs to be done such as under the sofa.……
