However, due to its mountainous location, ambient temperatures were very cold and the unit was not adequately heated for winter conditions.When we arrived, the indoor temperature was approximately 2C. "The property is set in a perfect location of Yufuin, only a few minutes walk to the main streets/ Yufuin Floral village. The staff were very attentive and welcoming, and the property is charming and traditional. The private onsen was a nice touch! The only downside to the hotel is that it’s a little dated and the walls are paper thin. I would recommend ear plugs if a light sleeper! Also, we did not realise that everything in Yufuin closes at 5pm - only 3 restaurants were open in the whole town and one of them was fully booked up so there’s really not much choice. We decided to not book half board as we wanted to try different foods but very nearly got caught out as did not realise everywhere shut…. Just something for travellers to be aware of…"
