Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay! The location is very good close to restaurants and shops. Great having the use of golf cart ! The balcony has great views of beach and the beautiful homes around the area. The condo was clean the only thing I would recommend is getting the bedcovers and pillow shams cleaned and possibly a new water heater! The bed was comfortable and the condo was very relaxing had everything you needed for a stay.

Sandestin Paradise

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Westwinds. The entire place was very clean including the lobbies, pool, etc. The golf cart was key, because we didn’t have to get into our car until the day we left (can get to so many restaurants and Publix on the golf cart). The condo was spacious and it had 3 beach chairs and an umbrella we were able to use at the beach. Can’t beat the Tiki hut where the kids could get ice cream and we could eat lunch either beside the pool or at the beach. Everything is a little pricey because the resort fee is included (which is common at all resorts). We were able to eat in a lot to save money in the large and well-stocked kitchen. The view from the balcony is unbeatable, and the staff is extremely responsive to any needs. I would highly recommend this stay on the Emerald Coast!

They made friends quickly and had a great time on the beach, at the pool, in the village. The golf cart was good to have for getting around. Definitely bring your own beach towels, extra paper towels, toilet paper, coffee filters. There was a leak from the fridge. Hopefully the addressed it after our stay. Overall- Comfortable, clean, relaxing and reasonably priced. Expensive to get food or drink by the pool, though!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This rental at 4811 Westwinds far exceeded our expectations! It was our first time visiting the Destin area and we were unsure about what to expect. The first thing we noticed was how clean the unit was and how it had all the amenities we needed for our family of 4. You could tell the unit was very well cared for. The mattresses were new and very comfortable. There were plenty of bath towels and the bedding was in great condition. The view from the balcony and windows was spectacular! The location of the building and pool being right on the beach was perfect. We went back and forth from the pool to the beach each day. We were there in March 2024 and the Tiki bar was open which was a nice treat. The pool and the beach were not crowded and my kids loved that it was heated. We appreciated that the unit had one beach chair, but it would have been great if there were two. The golf cart was one of the things that made a huge difference. Our two kids loved driving around the Sandestin properties and going to Baytowne Wharf. There were plenty of restaurants in the area and great shopping. We also enjoyed the basketball courts and mini golf on site. I am so glad we chose the Westwinds because of the convenient location and the east beach access. We can't wait to schedule another trip there next year!

Stormy Sandestin Stay

Very nice property with a wonderful view Golf cart was a little awkward brakes were very hard to engage Steering was difficult also I can usually operate a golf cart with no problem My husband had to drive it the whole time I think an update is needed Kitchen was a tad sparse Needs a new coffee maker We were only able to go on beach 1 1/2 days because of weather so we really enjoyed the view from the 13th floor

great rental

We had a great spring break trip with multiple other families in the Sandestin resort. The condo was very clean. We had no issues other than the pool was closed unexpectedly for a pool deck project for half of the week. Platinum vacations was very responsive to help remedy the situation. It was great to have the golf cart to go to Baytowne Wharf. There is not a tram pass with this unit FYI. We look forward to staying here again!

Beach Trip for Wedding

Condo was great, the only thing I have to complain about is the master bedroom bed. It was very uncomfortable. We could feel the springs and it was very noisy. Otherwise everything was great.

The pool, view, beach, and golf cart were all top notch. Got to see dolphins from our balcony even. One consideration--the condo was not quite as well stocked as others I have stayed in, eg no foil, ziplocs, tupperware, beach towels, or chairs. And only one extra roll of TP Be prepared to bring most things. There was coffee and filters and paper towel, at least. Otherwise, I highly recommend. Clean, well furnished, comfortable, great water pressure on the shower, and beautiful building and views.

Great accommodations, view, and location except for the master mattress

The condo was clean, nicely appointed, and had the perfect setup for our family of 5 (3 little kids). The view and location were perfect! Unfortunately, as has been mentioned in other reviews, the master bedroom mattress was absolutely horrendous. I'm almost 40 and it was arguably the worst mattress I have ever slept on. My husband and I did not get one night of restful sleep while there, which was disappointing. Other than the mattress, the only drawbacks were none of the remotes worked except the ones in the living room and most of the channels on the two bedroom tvs had no sound (no idea why). Overall, an amazing condo and location/view but just wish they would get a decent mattress in the master.

Beautiful views, great location

Overall this rental was a great place to vacation. The views from the balcony were outstanding. The kids loved the view from their bedroom window. We loved the use of the golf cart. Honestly that was the deciding factor when we chose this rental. This condo was nicely stocked with everything you would need for a vacation. With that said there are a few things that could be addressed. The master bedroom mattress was terrible. It had very defined divots of where two people would sleep. This made for very uncomfortable sleep for the week. The master shower also had quite a bit of mold around all of the tiles. The clothes dryer did not work very well. It took over three hours to dry a load of clothes. Besides these three items the condo is beautiful and made for a nice home away from home for the week.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The biggest disappointment was the lack of products. They had enough soap for one load of laundry and one load of laundry detergent. Not near enough toilet paper and there were no tissues. I would of washed the towels for them if they would of given me some soap. There was also some dirty tissues left on the coffee table and under a chair. Kinda gross. I also think it would be nice to supply beach towels. The location was great and

Condo needs Updating and Maintenance before Rerenting

Great view and nicely decorated but had issues with dishwasher leaking, HALO water detection sensor failed and kept turning the water off, dryer did not heat at all and on last day the AC was struggling to keep condo cool. The maintenance man was called and he indicated that this unit has had previous issues for the same problems. That indicates that these issues were known when we rented the condo. We should have been told about these so we could have had a chance to choose another condo.

Spring vacation

The stay at Westwinds was great as always. This was our first time staying in this unit and with a management company versus a private owner. We had a great experience. The unit was extremely clean, nice furnishings, and with a good amount of towels and linens and plenty of clothes hangers. The kids enjoyed the bean bags in their room. The view was nice especially at sunset. We used the washer and dryer quite a bit and everything worked perfectly. The only issue we had was the water was not working when we arrived. We called the company listed to contact if there was a water shut off (there was a sign in the bathroom) and they explained it was due to a prior occupant in which water in the floor made contact with a leak detection system under the toilets or under the sinks. The water was turned on as we were on the phone in seconds, and we never had any other issues during our stay. The golf cart was a nice addition. We also appreciated on our arrival there was soothing tropical music playing on the tv, with a pleasant scent in the air, and a bonus sand bucket with coupons and goodies on the counter for us. All in all a great stay.

Nice Sandestin Stay

King bed sink in middle. King BR is poorly laid out and we had to move a nightstand away to have room to function. Could be solved with smaller nightstands. We were convinced the bunk bed was sturdy. Had one maintenance issue which was taken care of promptly! Golf cart was a plus but needs work. Not for amateurs! Start up supplies were not adequate. Didn’t have enough soap for both bathrooms. A little disappointing. Overall, the condo suited our purpose but isn’t in the top 5 of Sandestin rentals we’ve had over the years.

You have a HUGE heated pool, snack bar with cocktails, and very easy access to the beach. This building exceeded our expectations. The unit was very nice and VERY clean which I don't always find to be the case. Well appointed kitchen with a new stackable high capacity washer/dryer. The beach closet was non existent so that would be my recommendation to the owners to put this over the top. You need at least 2 good beach chairs and an umbrella. Not having to stuff our car full with these extra items is very helpful if we know we are coming to a well appointed unit. The mattress in the master was perfectly firm(ish). Hot water did run out quickly so you gotta take a quick shower. The door to the hallway is practically hollow so keep in mind anyone outside your door can hear EVERYTHING. The golf cart was nice and very fast! Beautiful sunset views from the balcony and the A/C worked very well. Also had a nice, new refrigerator. We will definitely choose this unit again.
