Anniversary Stay

We had the best experience at Luau! The pool was gorgeous, warm, and surprisingly, not crowded. The beach was less than 5 minutes away by foot, and we utilized the tram to explore more of the resort. We drove in a F-250 and weren’t able to park in the parking garage, but the extra parking wasn’t too far away. Overall, a great experience and we’ll be booking again next year with our kids as well!

Everything about this experience was great! Customers service was so helpful and so easy to book online with so many choices. I loved the room which was just as shown in the photo and was perfect for what I needed. Beautiful area, minutes to the beach and a great pool! And so many shops and places to eat close by. One thing that wasn't working was the clock in the room. Would have been nice to have. But the room and amenities as well as the whole experience was just perfect!! Thank you! I will be booking through through you again!!

Mental Break Vacation

Had a nice relaxing vacation. Condo was very clean and nicely decorated. We had two chairs and umbrella for the beach, although we did not use as the beach it was like a stadium of people, right up the the waters edge. The private beach was actually a share beach for the whole resort. We did however enjoy the beautiful and clean pool area. We did have to leave early as family emergency came up and in the rush to get packed I left a whole draw of clothes in the dresser. Once I realize I immediately notified our host. It has now been 5 days and no word to as whether the cleaners found my items. So I’m not sure if there is a communication gap between the host and the cleaners or if the cleaners were just not forthcoming with their find. At any rate those can be replaced and we did enjoy the short time we did get to stay.

Very small- like a standard hotel room.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were welcomed with a huge cockroach in the room. I have never seen one at any resort or hotel in the 40 years I've stayed at resorts and hotels in Florida. The room is misrepresented with the pics, which make it look huge, but it's not; it's like a regular hotel room. They don't do room service or housekeeping, but yet you have to throw all the trash away and pay a cleaning fee. The shower only opens from the back so in order to turn it on you have to go in and get soaked as the shower head immediately starts. The beach is about a 7 min. walk away. The Keurig did not work. They did try to replace it with a regular coffee maker, but did not provide filters and I had bought kpods. I wish we would have stayed at a regular hotel. The staff through My Vacation Haven tries to be helpful and are very nice. There's a laundromat that you have to use quarters so you get a supply of towels for the week so if they were dirty you had to go wash them yourself. Coming in from the beach the room does get Sandy and you have to sweep yourself with the fluorine has indentations so it is difficult to get the sand out of the grooves. Overall, the area is very nice, and although cold during our stay we still enjoyed it. However, I would never pick this room again. It is really only for two people. It has a king size bed. Pull out couch is a twin which is even smaller than the twin and the mattress is very feeble and thin. I suppose a small child could sleep there, but no adult would ever want to. Another thing to mention is that the restaurants in the area are very expensive. We were three people, and it was difficult not to spend at least $100 on a meal.

Great Place to stay

The property was great. Post pandemic Destin was wall to wall people though. The check in process was a little tedious as we were locked out for the first part. They require a photo of you in front of the door. Once they receive it they will send you a code or two until one works. That took a while, but after that everything was smooth and the place was clean and comfortable. We had a good time and It was a short walk to the beach, pub, or pool.

Great location!

My husband and I stayed for a long weekend and loved it! Short walk to the beach and pool! We had some trouble getting in when we first arrived, but it was quickly resolved. If we would have stayed longer than 3 nights, we probably would have liked somewhere a little bigger, but it was perfect for our long weekend getaway!

Destin Stay

Property was clean and exactly as described. Had a few issues with the foyer door code not working both my room and other room that was behind that door had issues getting in, but when I called for help once during day once late at night phone was answered and code sent that worked. Would have liked a broom or something in unit to help clean up sand from daily beach visits when we came in and out didn’t like putting feet on floor after showers etc.. just to get more sand on you or in my case sliding on and hearing sand under house shoes because after 3 days it’s everywhere lol. But that’s really minor we bought a broom, left it in closet for next visitors. Was disappointed when got ready to go to beach was told chairs and umbrella would be there for us to use, however most people travel or vacation at least in 2’s and there was only one chair and a half size umbrella. We didn’t bother with it. Over all room was great, my partner was very Leary of travel and stay because of covid and room was very clean and she relaxed once she saw she didn’t have to clean it herself again to feel comfortable KUDOS AND BIG THANKS TO HOUSEKEEPING TEAM!! Overall had a great time was very happy with room can’t wait to come back. Thank you!!
