“Very good service ”

“The property is well situated about half way if doing the Douro drive loop. Grounds are lovely with rooms overlooking vineyards - very serene and quiet. Lots of onsite parking. Staff encourage picking and eating fruit off the trees - the oranges are excellent! There is a nice pool area. At check in staff member was very helpful suggesting points of interest, restaurants, etc. The room and washroom was very dated with a large veranda. There was mold on the ceiling in the washroom. “This might be the nicest place we’ve ever stayed. The view is indescribably stunning. Our hosts Marco and Ana welcomed us like old friends. We chose to book the wine tasting tour with Marco, which was the best day of our 2 week holiday in Portugal. We would love to return. ”

“The hotel was lovely, the staff was so kind and the entire property smelled like orange blossoms from the trees next to the hotel. The provided breakfast buffet was so good and fresh and the staff also offered individual dishes as well as espressos! My only "complaint" would be that the location has very limited restaurants, like only 3 and 2 of them were closed on Mondays! Bring some snacks and you will love the hotel!”

“Tout était parfait ! Nous avons eu un problème de chauffage et l’équipe a tout mis en œuvre pour résoudre la situation. Finalement nous avons été contraint de changer de chambre ! Celle-ci avait également un problème grave car la porte intérieure était cassé et a failli tomber sur la tête de mon mari! Nous avons signalé à l’accueil pour résoudre cela car cela aurait pu être grave !”

“Beautiful Quinta perched on a hill above the Douro River. Rooms were nice, and the breakfast and particularly dinner were excellent. We also did the wine tasting in the store.”

“My only regret is not staying longer. Everything about our stay was perfect. The owners are wonderful! We drove in from across Spain, and we were ready to unwind after a long journey; they made us feel at home - we loved it. This stay, albeit short, was one of the highlights of our trip. Dinner was great! Definitely planning on returning. ”

“The property has stunning views and spacious rooms but lack little things like tissue or a waste basket. Our room wasn’t as clean as I expected with random hair in the bathroom. The bathroom had glass walls which is ok but a door for toilet privacy would be appreciated. The shower floor wasn’t tile but linoleum that gave way as you stepped on in. There is a restaurant and bar. Food was tasty. Did not use the pool or spa. ”
