The current operator has wisely prioritized first the updates that travelers care about most: the building exterior, public spaces, and my room's furnishings were up-to-date and tasteful. Staff are competent, polite, professional, and take pride in their work. The bed and all other room furniture were new and comfortable and the room was thoroughly cleaned. 「Great place to stay while visiting the area. A big plus that we could leave our dogs at the cabin while we were out and about. The stocked fishing pond has little perch that are fun to catch and release. Each cabin has its own fire pit with plenty of fire wood. 」

「Though we know a floor with no carpet is easier to clean possibly, it feels dirty constantly because there is no carpet. Maybe have a tile floor by the door and in the bathroom, and then carpet the remainder of the place so our feet are not dirty constantly. It also feels cold in there. The coffee and food area is good but needs more help becuase it was a long wait time. The variety of foods did not satisfy the needs for morning food.」

「Everything was amazing! Wonderful shower, purple bed and very clean. I would recommend anyone stay here if they are visiting Custer and surrounding area. Perfect!!」

「First the one thing we didn’t like - there is no elevator and our room was on the second floor. But staff was friendly and check-in and check-out went well. Bed were comfortable, lots of hot water and thick towels for showers. OK breakfast - cereals, bread and toaster, milk, orange juice, coffee, bananas, oranges, cold hard-boiled eggs. Right in the heart of Custer. Easy to walk to stores and restaurants. We’d recommend - but ask for a room on the first floor if stairs are an issue. 」
