Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir sofort herzlich von Dik und seiner italienischen Frau begrüßt. Die Aussicht von der Terrasse auf den Apennin und Modigliana war atemberaubend. Am Anreisetag war es ziemlich kühl, daher wurde uns über die Benutzung des Holzofens und des Kamins berichtet. Dik hat alles getan. Das Haus ist sehr geräumig und sehr persönlich mit modernen und alten Einrichtungselementen eingerichtet. Die Geschichte des Hofes reicht mehr als zehn Jahrhunderte zurück. Wir haben das Anwesen als Basis genutzt, um Ravenna, Bologna, San Marino und Monte Falterona (1654 m) an der Grenze zur Toskana einzuschließen. Es ist eine wunderschöne Gegend ohne Massentourismus, außer natürlich Ravenna und San Marino. Jeder war sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Viele Italiener sprechen ein gutes Stück Englisch.
