“A LITTLE BIT OUT OF TOWN...NOT WALKABLE”

“Recently renovated to a good standard. Going for the boutique style hotel of individual villas. Good location on the river with free airport shuttle. Only let down by the restaurant. T-bone steak came well done when I asked for medium rare. The fillet steak side of the T-bone was great. The sirloin side was very sinewy. Poor quality. The chips were cold and soggy. “The Island Safari Lodge is a great option for those staying in Maun to explore the Okavango Delta, Chiefs Island, and Morami. The property is massive with extensive walking trails and wildlife. The entire property is also walled and gated so you won’t encounter dangerous animals. The lodging is a bit dated so think of a higher end cabin experience as opposed to a hotel. “Staff are frendly but i got bed bug bite all over my body~!! And the place is not quite that place on the map. It is more southen place and it is so far from okavanggo delt gate. If you are ok to sleep with bed bug, i recommend the place”

“Es handelt sich nicht um das ähnlich kostspielige Khwai Tented Camp, sondern lediglich um ein mobiles Zeltcamp mit einfachsten kleinen Zelten. Zwar war der Service der 5 Begleitpersonen gut, jedoch war die Getränkeauswahl extrem begrenzt! Wegen der trügerischen Verwechslungsgefahr zur weitaus komfotableren Lodge sind wir deshalb insgesamt ziemlich enttäuscht gewesen (2 Nächte für 2 Personen = 1200€) Was bleibt ist immerhin die Erfahrung mitten im Busch zwischen wilden Tieren geschlafen zu haben.”
