The room is quite small for the price. We ordered from the menu eggs benedict and tea for two and paid 100 euros for that. Definetely overpriced. Since we were a group, check in took around 45 minutes because front desk staff want to give the information about breakfast hours and location of pool etc just once so we waited seated. Hotel is very pretty but overpriced. Thank you

Monte Carlo is a must see

It was fabulous. Monaco is the most beautiful place. It's got to be the cleanest place in the works. This hotel is beautiful and in a fabulous location. Aside for crazy coffee price it's awesome. Stunning interior beautiful bedrooms and professional staff. Only disappointment 12$ coffee to go. Not sure why. That was before great breakfast that was included

Noce, but does not lice up to a 5-star experience

Overall a nice hotel in a beautiful location. Friendly and accommodating staff although they didn’t remember my pre-booked arrival service. The room service food was disappointing and the breakfast buffet was more equivalent to a 2-star hotel. So skip that and grab something in the area instead. The Yoshi restaurant at the hotel was phenomenal so can recommend that for sure. Overall a bit disappointing for a 5-star hotel.

Property is well situated in Monaco, near all the great shopping and historic casino. The pool area is a bit small so depending on how busy hotel is, might not get great seat at pool. Food is super expensive, but very tasty. Hotel is very high-end, we really enjoyed hanging out in the lobby and having drinks and snacks there. Our room was disappointing, it was small and felt tight, we did not get any upgrade. Also, one of our VIP perks was 4pm late checkout, which they changed to 2pm. The hotel didn't seem full for the 2 days we were there, so i'm sure the free room upgrade VIP perk was simply overlooked. I would stay here again, but would want a bigger room with a bit more space to move around.

I stop by one week before our stay to make sure the room has basic amenities. Unfortunately the room was super outdated. They had to send technician to fix the safe & took 2 hours to address it. Most depressing room in monaco. The staff was respectful but the manager on site was absolutely disrespectful, she was trying to offer $80 to address our horrible experience. The don’t even serve a legit breakfast around the pool. Been to most of exceptional hotels around the world, I will personally rank this experience below accepting level. Hopefully this Management start to close the hotel and update the hotel considering perfect location of hotel.

Just Not What It Seemed It Would Be

The hotel is old. Check in is dark and no offerings of champagne and a demand for a passport. Exhausting after travel. The initial room was small and facing contribution right outside the window which we were never informed about until in the room. They did switch our room yet slightly better still had no modern day amenities like USB ports and the shower leaked. Compared to the other hotels as we went around this one was dark, smelled, and just wasn’t worth the money. The concierge was not great and we literally couldn’t get a taxi and the hotel did nothing to help us. End of day, the pool was the best thing about this hotel and absolutely would choose Hermitage, De Paris, or Fairmont over this hotel.

A Disappointing Reunion

Over the last decade I had stayed at Metropole several times - staying in a variety of rooms, and I always raved to friends on how it was one of my favourites. Pre-covid a visit to The Metropole was eagerly anticipated. You felt special, mainly due to the friendliness and attitude of the staff and consistently high standards. Last time I stayed (pre-covid) I was welcomed back like an old friend. They had done the research. This week i was very disappointed. An efficient but 'cold' welcome - asked if I had stayed before. It felt like I was booking into a Hilton - no offence to Hilton staff but they are not at 'The Metropole'. My son noticed that few staff were smiling or welcoming - even in the bar. I tried to engage with them..nothing. The one positive were the concierges - who were excellent. I had booked superior rooms - I'm pretty sure the ones we got were not. No comlimentary bottle of wine. No mention of upgrade. Late check out was a difficulty. Perhaps due to language issues I didn't get what I ordered although I tried to explain carefully. The rooms were clean enough but there were hairs in my bath and mould on the underside of the vanity unit. Toilet seat scratched. The shower over the bath was frankly wierd and didn't do the job well, and in my son's bathroom the floor was flooded on each use of the shower. Will I go back...no. I am lucky to have stayed on some of the finest hotels in the world - even in the last 24 months - and the Metropole is no longer up there.

The hotel metroplole is one of the most stylish hotels I have every been. The detail was incredibly authentic. Breakfast was good. I especially want to thank the head daytime concierge. He was immensely helpful. He went out of his way to make sure I knew where I was going. thank you again.
