"The home is perfect for families. The porch steps are steep and it is a pleasure to be out on the porch with screen doors open so toddlers might be a problem. Otherwise our family with 7 yr old triplets and an infant, had a blast! Remember it is an old home, with a lot of charm and history. It is not a 5 star luxury hotel. With that said, it is much larger than pics portray and extemely comfortable with all the amenities you need for a great Maine vacation! We enjoyed 2 weeks of fun and solitude. Does that make sense? The island has some great hiking trails and dont miss Daphne’s pies at the beginning of Dogget! Anne, Al and Heather were very considerate and replied to any concerns immediately.
