The Cygnet Studio is a bijoux, 1 bedroom self-catering annexe of the main Farmhouse. There are two steps up, to a part glazed wooden door entrance, leading into a kitchenette. The kitchenette is equipped with all the basics necessary for your stay, if you need anything else just ask! The floor slopes up to the integral fridge, a microwave and toaster with shelf over which has various teas and coffee, cafetière and mugs. On floor level there is a kettle & sink with stylish glass splash-back and various drawers and cupboards.
The small entrance from the parking area is fenced, with a stylish bistro table and chairs on a little decking area, in a comfortable alcove for relaxing outside in the sun or to sit out under a clear night sky with a glass of wine stargazing! As there is no light pollution the stars on a clear night are amazing. At sunset you may even glimpse the local bats circling around our fabulous oak trees. Or, you could just sit out with a coffee or tea enjoying beautiful views over our fields and ponds, watching a huge array of passerines, Buzzards, ducks & swans. Occasionally you may be lucky enough to get a rare glimpse of a Red Kite, Goshawk, Otter or Deer.
The spacious bedroom has a super king-size bed which can be separated into 2 long 3' single beds, there is a bedside table and reading light on each side. Our Super King-size bed linen is luxury 400TC Egyptian cotton. We supply a large bath sheet and bath towel per person. Some of the farm buildings and fields are rented to another farmer for sheep grazing. One field though, does have a footpath that can be used to access Lower Raglan Road via a stepped stile at the top of the field, for quiet country lane walks, church and small hamlets. Guests can also walk along the track between the fields up to the gate at the far end. There are also footpaths through neighbouring fields and woods. It is advisable to bring walking boots or wellies during periods of inclement weather.
Other things to note:
Farms can be hazardous areas, so please be mindful of machinery and animals that may be around at various times.
The pond areas are fenced and are an area for the wildlife. Although our resident swans appear friendly, remember they are wild birds and should be shown respect by staying at least 6' away. Children to be accompanied by an adult at all times.
