Excellent apartment in perfect location

Very highly recommended apartment in the ideal location for local amenities as well as exploring the area. Very welcoming hosts, apartment very clean and the swimming pool was the icing on the cake! Hopefully we will return very soon.

Monpazier is a lovely village, quiet but picturesque with a variety of restaurants . The property is well equipped and comfortable, the host was very considerate . the only shortcoming was lack of easy access to a laundry. Would recommend it it for a Dordogne holiday

5 Star Comfortable Home from Home Apartment in Chic Monpazier

Derek & Amanda's apartment is ideally located to tour this area and central to restaurants and shops. They were perfect hosts, very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The apartment is well equipped and a lovely hamper on arrival was most welcome along with a homemade cake - yummy. Beds were extremely comfortable. The pool and garden was great to chill out in for a swim or glass of wine. We stayed with our two girls and found it perfect accommodation for our holiday. Restaurant Le Bastide we found excellent for lunch and the set lunch menu was good value and Bistrot 2 a nice place to sit in the evening for a drink. We would recommend La Maison Anglaise very highly. Thank you Derek and Amanda for your hospitality.

Everything you could want

Derek and Amanda live on site and so being in Maison Anglaise is like being a guest in someone's home. We did not get to take advantage of the swimming pool as the weather was cool, but everything else was ours to use. Derek has a large collection of books and information on the area and is willing to tell you more. He made us welcome with a large basket of goodies including a home baked cake, wine, bread, butter, pate and every other thing we could possibly want. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen functional, there were lots of comfortable places to sit if you were to spend the evenings just sitting around. A book of instructions would have been helpful. Monpazier is an interesting place to be and the area has lots to see and do.

Absolutely wonderful experience!

This is a really lovely apartment located in the beautiful town of Monpazier, very close to the main square. It is very comfortable with high quality furnishings and the hosts, Amanda and Derek seem to have thought of everything that you might need during your stay. The pool area is fantastic, the perfect place to cool off in the heat of summer and our children loved it. Amanda and Derek are wonderful hosts, we really appreciated their hospitality. A very special place.

Outstanding property in the heart of Monpazier

This spacious, beautifully decorated apartment had a freshly baked cake and gift basket waiting for us on arrival after a long drive. Derek was there to greet us and explain everything about the property and Monpazier. He is a charming host. The apartment also comes with a beautiful swimming pool. We highly recommend this property as it is a little gem in a lovely Bastide town.

Situated in the centre of pretty Monpazier, a superb apartment in a fantastic location. Nothing too much trouble for the owners to make our stay perfect. Very comfortable and well equiped apartment with a definite "wow" factor. One down side - wish we had booked a longer stay!
