Great room and staff! Parking in the front is very tight especially if you have a large vehicle but there is parking in the back as well.

The room was spotless. The staff was excellent! Our only complaints are, it took a very long time for the hot water to come on and the heating system was weird and a little noisy. Otherwise our stay was great!

Check-in was listed from 3–10 PM, and the signage on the front doors also stated the lobby closes at 10. I had planned to check in around 9:30 after dinner in downtown San Francisco. However, I received a call at 7:10 from the front desk asking that I arrive by 8. The staff member offered to stay until 8:30 as a courtesy, which I appreciated, but it caused us to cancel our dinner reservation, grab fast food and rush to the inn. I arrived at 8:35 and was told she simply wanted to leave early since it was a slow night—despite check-in being available until 10. The room itself was clean, but it was quite cold and I couldn’t adjust the temperature. The property is also along a fairly loud road. Overall, it wasn’t an awful stay, but the experience felt unnecessarily stressful and not quite in line with the posted check-in policy.

This was one of the nicest rooms we’ve ever had! Gorgeous decor, very large, dinette and couch and chairs, balcony too! The only cons are road noise and it’s next door to a gas station.

The room was nice, big, and very clean. It was in the back so not much of a view. Walls were a little thin. Our neighbors were up talking most of the night and we could hear them enough to keep waking us up. The Inn is a little old so a little creaky on the floors. Overall, it was a nice place to stay for the one night we were there. Undecided if we will go back there.

First off, our Penthouse 3rd floor Oceanview room was excellent, however, the facility and our room fronted the very busy, very noisy (car & truck traffic ) Hwy.1. This issue was not mentioned on the Expedia hotel info. The pictures of the beach access lead us to believe that access was very easy and directly from the facility, even though the comments said it was "nearby". It was across Hwy.1 and there were oceanfront homes between the facility and the ocean. A gas station/convenience store was directly next to the facility. Had we known about the Hwy.1 issue, we would not have stayed there.

Highly recommended

Fantastic, quiet location, super quick drive into Moss Beach and HMB. The room was clean and updated and there was even a hotel kitty hanging out in the front to pet in the morning. Only issue was that the salt air made the windows/slider screen hard to open and close. Recommend checking out the cafe next door.

No view. Not worth it.

It was somewhat expensive compared with other options and we were attracted to its name "Ocean View" which turned out to be a misnomer. The place is across a busy road (hwy 1) from the neighborhood which is close to the ocean. Views are blocked by trees. Our room was facing the back yard of the property so the "view" was of the neighbors in the opposite direction to the ocean. The TV was small for the room. There was no hot water in the shower. There was a coffee/pie shop and gas station convenience store nearby but not much more. Had to drive to Half-Moon Bay for breakfast. I was hoping for something a bit more romantic for our "date" weekend.

Just what we needed

Our stay was perfect. The room was large and spacious and clean. We found a nice coffee and hand pie at Sage Bakhouse just down the road. Dinner at Half Moon Bay Brewery is always a must stop!

Got the penthouse room. The room advertised had an ocean view with a balcony. Arrived back of the motel with a street view. The sink didn’t work worth a crap . Anyways … overall poor motel , won’t stay here again

Almost a five

The inside of the property was a pleasant surprise: clean, modern and bright. We would have given it five stars but we were awoken to very loud guests above and around us well past the quiet hours of 10pm. We can't report that we got a good night sleep before our flight but that was not due to the bed/room/accommodations. Other than that, we thought a continental breakfast was listed on hotels com but there was only in room coffee. Overall, very close to a five star experience but not quite. If you are looking for views of the water you will only get that from a few of the rooms. This is a great location though if flying in/out of San Francisco.
