Portola Hotel & Spa at Monterey Bay
The lobby and rooms are nice and it’s in a good location to get to downtown. The room was not ready until 45 minutes after check-in time which was annoying because it wasn’t crowded. The bar had good food. Overall a good place!

The Monterey Hotel
The room I was assigned was terrible! The carpet was filthy and worn, the view from all windows was the roof equipment, the noise from other rooms and the water system was unacceptable. The cost of this room was about twice what it should have been and provided little value. I had stayed here twice ...

Carmel Bay View Inn
Loved how close it was to downtown and the ability to use the pool - the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The other tricky part was parking that you may need to park on top part of property, but overall an awesome stay !
