"The room was overall clean, but a bit old. It definitely did the function of what I needed for the night. The view out the window and on the deck was very nice. It was a rainy night so I didn’t get to utilize the porch, but if it was sunny, it would’ve been nice. There was an extremely annoying noise, though that sounded as though it was coming from the outside, but when you open the door, you realized it was coming from the air duct or something above the room. It almost sounded like someone was doing work on the pipes. It went on all night and it did keep me up, but I turned on my noise machine so it helped drown it out some. I would say that was the only bad part. There was a decent continental breakfast similar to what most hotels would have. I did enjoy the fresh fruit cups, though it was extremely convenient for hiking based on the location. There was a good hands-free water fountain to fill up your hydration pack for hiking in the lobby, which is always super important to me. Parking was easy and free."

"One of the best hotel stays we've had in a long time. Everything from the staff to the room to the overall hotel was fantastic. The room was beautiful and spotless, the bed super comfortable, and the waterfall shower rejuvenating. The horse racing theme and styling was so artfully done and charming. Our stay was so wonderful that we added another night to our trip. Chris, the owner, was super helpful in accommodating an early check-in and adding another night to our stay. Other staff was extremely helpful in answering questions and helping us with luggage. Parking was a breeze with streetside unloading spots and then a shared adjacent lot for our stay. Easy drive into Lexington. We will definitely stay here again."

"Great spot overall, really enjoyed our stay. Nice, private setting too. There were only two of us, so it didn't matter to us, but I would point out that the "double sofa bed" barely qualifies as a double futon-type bed in my view. Do NOT book this place expecting two beds. It might be adequate for one, maybe two small children, but I wouldn't want to sleep on it. Otherwise, great."

"Its an amazing property with everything you'll need for your stay. Its private with surrounding foliage. Slept with the shade open to see the fireflies as i fell asleep and morning sun to wake. We had an amazing visit! We visit the Gorge frequently and will be back! Highly recommend!"

"We loved our stay and would definitely stay here again. The grounds are beautiful. We enjoyed visiting the horses and donkeys. The house was comfortable and clean. Plus, the hosts are very welcoming and quick to answer questions. They even left a plate of chocolate chip cookies for our arrival."
