Check in and out were great. Clean location. Lots of trails on property. Close to many activities and restaurants. The bed was very uncomfortable, but other than that it was a good stay.

While the location is perfect the lodge itself needs work. It needs updating and a refreshed clean look. The lounge chairs in the lobby are extremely worn and the warm inviting picture on line is no match to the dingy look. The room felt dark and the bed mattress saggy. Cleaning fine.No hot shower due to multiple fuses blowing. Drippy faucet. Night 2 a breaker went. My husband had advised there was a bigger issue after night 1 but the staff did not follow up acco rding. Breakfast for Continental as advertised quite sufficient. There's a nice bar on site with reasonable priced food available for. Staff courteous and those there did their best in the moment to help. Hot water pot for the tea l brought good. No tea bags in room. Nice little deck off room. Hiking fantastic. .

It was amazing to be able.to basically walk out from the hotel and hike. I was surprised there was no air conditioning and it was hot at least 80°. The bar was closed on Friday & Saturday night. There was a note posted on the door it didnt say why just closed. The hotel is old and showing considerable wear. Our room had a huge stain in the carpet. The fan in the bathroom was extremely loud and rattled you could not use it. The water was hard to adjust in the shower and had very low water pressure. It was very nice to have a private balcony. The staff was very nice. All that being said it is a beautiful area and the hiking is wonderful. The hotel was ok just manage your expectations. Would definitely return to the area.

Great place. The staff were very friendly & very accommodating! I threw in a last minute request and they went out of their way to help and had things taken care of immediately! The property is beautiful and very well maintained! We visited 3 other places in the area & had the same experience at all of them! Hidden gems all of them!

The place is clean and easy to find. But not as advertised, it’s not a resort. It’s the equivalent of a motel 8 at a national park. The continental breakfast is lack luster, but at least it won’t give you the runs. The view is ok but online made it seem you could see the natural bridge, you can’t. Was excited to stay there but was disappointed by the end.

We had a great stay, primarily because of the bartender. He is very personable. We had only stopped in for an after dinner drink, and ended up closing tge place. 😆 He told us about a delicious sounding drink recipe that contained root beer. We happened to have some bottles of root beer with us that we had purchased at one of of the bourbon tours - we got them and brought them to the bar and he made the drinks which we then shared with other guests. In return, we shared with him a new drink we had created elsewhere that we named the Happy Traveler. I look forward to going back one day and hopefully seeing our drink on his menu. We would legit stay here again just to hang out at the bar. Otherwise, I would have given three stars because of the dinner experience. The staff there were very nice, but I ordered chicken and it came out raw. Had to send it back, they made it again, and it came out raw a second time. That’s actually why we went to the bar, to grab a drink and some bar snacks cuz I was hangry! lol
