“The pool was a highlight for the kids, we spent hours enjoying it! Really well maintained, and the atmosphere was just lovely.”

“Very good value for the cost! The rooms were clean and well kept, which made for a pleasant stay for everyone in our group. Totally satisfied!”

“WiFi was fast and reliable for work! Perfect for my early meetings.”

“The pictures of the house are heavily filtered. It says newly renovated but it is literally falling apart. The beds are the most uncomfortable I have ever experienced as well. The walls have holes from what looks like someone trying to find a stud with a nail. The place was clean but the walls are stained. The biggest thing was the floor in the bathroom area was severely rotted to the point of falling through. I tried to contact the management company and got nothing but automated responses.……

“We really enjoyed Lazy Creek Cottage. It was the perfect weekend for our son’s Univ of SC and we loved staying in the Chapin/ Lake Murray area. The property was impeccably clean and the location idyllic overlooking the lake. We used the paddle boards and the hot tub. Jesse, the property manager was great. We would stay here again. “This house is an experience not just lodging. It would take a week just to explore all the supple nuances of this house. The location was convenient to all locations in Newberry. And convenient to Prosperity. This was ideal for our plans attending a wedding and other events. My wish is that the host provided a history of the house. We were there on the hottest day this summer. Some areas were hotter than others. We had options to set the temperature lower. But, didn't reaize it until……

“This neighborhood is sketch. The houses next door look like they are about to fall apart and have backyards full of junk and trash. We were legitimately nervous someone would break in and steal our dogs. We pulled up to this house and it had a mailbox stuffed full and an Amazon package on the front steps. It was very confusing. The front porch is filthy and not just because it’s pollen season. It hasn’t been rinsed off in probably a year (photo)There are cigarette butts strewn all over the……

“Easy check-in process, really helpful hosts and a great property! Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a spacious stay with great views on Lake Murray. The only comment I have is that the rooms got hot at night upstairs so maybe bring a fan if you are a hot sleeper like we are.”

“Overall, we had a nice stay. We booked this property because the close proximity to our son‘s wedding venue and the rehearsal dinner at Liberty on the lake. The inside of the home was clean, and it matched the listing. The location worked well for our group, and we enjoyed our time there!!However, I do think future guests should be aware that the property could benefit from better maintenance. The outdoor areas, particularly the dock and steps, have several rotted boards. One other thing to be……

“Generally very nice, the road appears to be a main route through the area and does pick up a fair amount of traffic noise, especially when the road is wet.”
