Our 1st time in the property. Staff is helpful and super friendly. Location is amazing, walking distance to restaurants, shops, museums, waterfront. Our room was a tad small for the 3 of us but beds were firm, pillows fluffy. Our breakfast was a cute concept with scones, croissants, fruit, juices, cheeses, dips left outside our door hangingin the little hook. We went to the restaurant area for coffee and tea. If you want cappuccino, lattes, americano, or any other they will make it for you. I thought that was a nice touch. Our 1st day, because we arrive later and were tired, we decided to have dinner in the restaurant at the hotel. Very good food, excellent service. I recommend both.

The team were very welcoming and the room was very nice. The breakfast being delivered to the room was a nice touch. The location was ideal too as we could wander and explore Montreal especially the old town. The only negative was that sound resonates across the rooms and we could hear everything when people walked outside or past the room and we could even hear the noise when people walked up and and down the stairs even though we were two rooms away.

The location is excellent. The staff is friendly. The room is comfortable. However, there is no hot breakfast. A boxed breakfast is delivered to your room every morning which was a little bit disappointing.

We stayed for two nights as a family of four - two kids age 7 and 9. The location was great - walking to shopping and dining, old Montreal charm, the Basillica, Ferris Wheel, and museums. Ubers came here in 1-3 min so going to other parts of the city was easy. The hotel was clean and classy, the morning breakfast box of pastry and juice was perfect start. Parking is paid in the lot next door but easy to take in and out. Beds were firm which I don’t care for but my husband loves. It was also a very quiet hotel. Would definitely stay Shan and highly recommend.

Good staff and clean hotel, but some amenities and breakfast could be improved. The staff were 10/10 — extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. They were one of the highlights of the hotel and always happy to assist with anything we needed. The hotel itself is older, but very well maintained and impressively clean, which we really appreciated. Breakfast is included, which is nice, but the quality was unfortunately not great. Guests are limited to one piece of bread per day, and aside from the croissants, most of the other options were quite dry and didn’t taste very fresh. The hotel also lacked some basic amenities that most hotels typically provide, such as Q-tips, razors, toothbrushes, cotton pads, and basic toiletry kits, which would have made the stay more convenient. We were upgraded to a balcony room, which was a thoughtful gesture, but unfortunately the balcony door didn’t open, so we weren’t actually able to use it. Overall, the staff and cleanliness were excellent, but improvements to the breakfast and basic amenities would make the experience much better.
