"The reviews online rave about the very nice rooms. The reviews and hotel info do not make clear that arriving with a car is very difficult logistically. The hotel boat is moored where there is only a pedestrian footpath. There is no where close by to drop the bags for easy access, many meters from where cars are allowed. There are no actual staff at the location, only virtual staff who cannot help with the luggage drop or movement. You get parking recommendations only after the cancel window...

"The room was renovated so clean, beautiful, quiet and comfort. It was a hard to get experience to stay great historic site."

"We had a fantastic stay at this place. The owners were really welcoming and the place was calm and quiet with a nice atmosphere. The highlights were the 5 course dinners and breakfasts in the garden. "

"The communication was difficult - the owner did phone once, but we were cut off. The property is untidy, pool is green and tennis court has had no use for years. Offered extra rooms, after the sleeping arrangements were terrible, we were then threatened to be billed extra to VRBO, somehow... The rooms had uncomfortable beds and barely a sheet on them, and towels were hard and ancient. Two cots were inadequate for adult use and the room had massive cobwebs everywhere. Breakfast was scant and...

"We booked the B and B for two nights but left after one night because the mattress was extremely old and uncomfortable. The host couple was very nice to us and tried to accommodate us in every way. The setting was beautiful and otherwise the accommodations were good"
