The Saar-Hunsrück-Steig route passes through the village of Hoxel. 10 km from the home you will find the Erbeskopf, the highest mountain in the Hunsrück with a summer luge track. In the winter there is alpine and cross country skiing as well as sledding. About 20 km away is the popular Moselle village of Bernkastel-Kues. Idar Oberstein and Trier are certainly worth a visit. The home's location makes it a perfect spot to spend your holiday and do a bit of everything.
