Mountain retreat close to town

I feel like we found a piece of paradise with Pinecone Crest! We went over the New Year holiday with the hope of doing some hiking, seeing some sights, and exploring downtown Blue Ridge. I don’t think we could have found a more perfect location to do all of those things and more. We were only 15 minutes to downtown, there are several beautiful trails within a 10 minute drive, Mercier Orchard is about 10 minutes away, and the beautiful mountain views are endless! But the real star of the show is the cabin itself! Located in a secluded gated community, it is literally picture perfect! From the outdoor firepit with seating where we roasted s’mores, to the beautifully maintained and spotless cabin with the most comfortable couch in existence, to the luxurious back porch with a dining table, seating area with a fire place, AND a hot tub… we couldn’t ask for more. We ended up spending a lot more time at the cabin than we’d planned simply because it was so inviting and relaxing. Just what we needed! We stayed up far too late playing so many new-to-us board games that the cabin in stocked with - which the kids (and us!) thoroughly enjoyed. There was literally nothing we needed in the cabin besides some groceries - it is more than well stocked! All in all it was a fantastic location with great hosts that I would recommend to anyone again and again!

Absolutely Perfect Cabin and Location

We stayed during Thanksgiving week. We loved the cabin so much that we extended our stay two additional nights while there! The cabin is luxurious, fully equipped, very well decorated, very comfortable, with amazing hosts, great neighbors and a convenient, picturesque location. I was not expecting such luxury since the rate was so very reasonable, this is why I was totally blown-away by the beauty, comfort and amenities of this pristine and new cabin. We also loved the quaint town of Blue Ridge. Shopping was very conveniently located nearby. We cannot say enough good things about this vacation, the cabin and the hosts! One week was just not enough time to truly enjoy all of the amenities of this cabin, the adventures nearby, and natural beauty of the area. We felt like we were in a Hallmark Christmas movie in this cabin and town. We’re just absolutely in love with this property. FYI: the cabin had waaaay more supplies for their guests than what was listed. I only had to buy food. The cabin has everything necessary to easily have a campfire with what was supplied. The cabin had more than enough garbage bags, sandwich bags, soap, laundry and dishwasher detergent, two coffee makers, toaster, wine glasses, coffee cups, the whole-nine-yards (just everything imaginable). The gas stove and oven were amazingly easy and efficient to use. Brand new appliances everywhere! We will remember this cabin and our stay forever! Best of the best in every thinkable way. Thank you hosts! XOXO
