“We have stayed here on numerous occasions & find the staff are always friendly / helpful. However upon my original booking, it would have been nice to know that the pub now closes at 4pm every Sunday. I was looking forward to an evening meal as it has always been excellent in the past. I do concider the cost high to stay in a pub & considering we were not able to use all the amenities. So I may look elsewhere on my next visit to see family in Leominster.”

“Lovely oldy worldy pub accomodation in a lovely setting right next to the river and in a small quaint village. Great Pizzas and breakfast. Very cosy. Rooms quite small but comfy beds. Would return.”

“Needed a place close to Shropshire to visit rellys - my wife found this online and the photos and reviews were stellar. The longest, twistiest single lane country road with flocks of bantams took 15 minutes to reach the lodge from theain A road. Crazy! Fortunately, no one came the other direction so only the wildlife provided the hazards. The lodge is a converted barn/stables/something old and quirky. It has wifi and very polite staff. Nod to Winter and Tomasz who made our first night with……

“The room was lovely, and comfortable, the staff helpful and friendly, the breakfast was excellent. The only poor thing was a very noisy fan somewhere outside my window, so I had to shut the windows on a hot night, the fan did go off, not sure what time, to be fair I do put the light out fairly early.”

“Lovely staff. Room was a bit grubby and the damp in the bathroom could easily be addressed with a bit of attentive cleaning.”

“Room not properly stocked with tea bags etc Dust on stand and skirting boards. Door would not open fully as got stuck on the floor. Two single beds but not a lot of room to manoeuvre around banged legs on it. kitchen at breakfast - there was no butter 2nd morning and lack of mugs. There were coffee perculators but no coffee to brew only small instant for cups. Food in restaurant- ceasar salad was a big disappointment, chicken overcooked and salad not right leaves for ceasar salad. However staff……

“It’s a pleasant experience to stay in this B & B. The host Tom is very friendly and helpful. Nicely decorated bedroom with everything I need. There’s a kettle and a few types of tea inside the room, and the breakfast is more than good enough for me. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Knighton. It’s just a small town and so it’s within walking distance to all main attractions.”

“Very nice cottage with beautiful gardens. The beds were comfortable and the shower pressure was great. The owner provided tea, coffee and milk, which was a very nice touch as we arrived very late. Would definitely stay again.”

“Staff were polite, friendly and welcoming, the room was immaculate and the air conditioning was an added bonus. Breakfast was also well worth the additional cost.”

“We were attending a gig a Ludlow Castle, most accommodation was booked or expensive at Ludlow for the night of the gig so we chose to stop at Stokestay Hotel because there was a train station close that we could catch there and back. The Stokesay staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and tidy, breakfast was excellent and bar prices good so we would not hesitate to stop there again.”

“Nicely located just outside Ludlow. About a 10 minute walk to the castle but quite a climb up the hill Everything about the hotel was good, I will be happy to return”
