"The sleepover at Hotel Jozef was a nice short stay with some "surprises". The hotel has no reception in the afternoon, despite being written that you can arrive from 14h! "The hotel has an ideal location on lake Bohinj. It's a bit unclear where reception is when you arrive at the parking lot and first impression from the staff was not great. They were not very friendly for some reason. We upgraded from a basement room with a view of a parking lot 1st night to a great corner suite on top floor with an amazing view of the lake and mountain and a large bath 2nd night. Breakfast was good and we had light dinner and dessert at the hotel as well, which was good. Although, charging 20 euro for a cup of buckwheat is ridiculous, as much as I love buckwheat. Plenty of parking and there is a sauna and a large whirlpool. Wonderful location and concept, staff could be a bit more helpful at front desk and in the dining area. Muhr Villa dinner in day two was an amazing experience - another level."

"Great stay and would absolutely recommend. Very clean, AC worked great, amazing views, kind staff, and the best free breakfast I’ve ever had at a hotel! Easy walk to the lake. Lots of hiking trails nearby. They also have a private sauna you can book, and laundry service if needed."

"Beautiful setting! We have a west facing unit on third level, facing lake Bohinj. The sunrise and sunset views are spectacular. Great breakfast options as well. Highly recommend this place."

"I loved this location because it wasn’t in the busy area like lake Bled or lake Bohinj. Nice, quiet area for hiking and lots of cycling paths. There is no air conditioning but we asked for a fan and that really helped. It was really hot when we were there. The shower had water pressure issues and kept changing temperature as I was showering. The kitchen was stocked with the basics. The decor is definitely retro but I felt it worked for this place. There is a small grocery store within walking distance. The local bus stop is by the small grocery store. We walked to lake Bohinj which took about 45 minutes. We had no car and I didn’t realize how far we were from everything so keep that in mind unless you rent a car and then you will be fine. Lake Bled we called a taxi to take us there early in the morning and it was 60 euros one way. We took the bus from lake Bled back to our place and it was about 4 euros. We asked often where to find the bus stop. Overall, it was a cute little place."
