“Hostel style, one sleeps in a wooden box in a large shared room. Bathrooms are very nice, everything is communal. That increases social interactions and people are generally respectful and engaging, eager to help each other. The cost is low and for a place to stay and enjoy Melk, it was fine. The GPS points you to the other side of the building, rather, the place is on the street closer to the train line.”

“Detrimental experience. Let me be factual: 1. Rude, discourteous receptionist. I was accused of trying to smuggle in a pet from my car. I told receptionist >5x that I don!t have a pet, whereas he said he saw a pet cage in my car. I was then threatend that I will be fined 1500 € if it turns out I brought in a pet. 2. “Super nettes Personal.

“On the website it says Pet fee waa EUR12 but when we checked in they demanded EUR18 which is too much for a roadside motel. At this point, we had no choice but to check in. Even 4 star hotels do not charge this much. I would not stay again for this reason.”
