"Beautiful home and surrounding. It's a great place to spend the weekend. The place has everything you need already with s fully equipped kitchen, towels and bed linen. Having a lounge and a den was perfect for a big group as people can choose where to gather and hangout with out feeling overcrowded. Highly recommend the brown house"

"Warm and cosy Fire for the cold nights pre loaded for when we arrived on a very wet cold night, and the heat pump had been turned on to take the chill off.Nice quiet location. Plenty of bedding options to accomadate different groups.Great communication from the hosts.We would happily stay again."

"Wonderful Makarora Lodge - how can it be called wonderful? Do not stay here! Arrived April 27, 2028 approx 5:30 pm for a one night stay. Staff gone, picked up the two folded papers w/keys from reception area showing # of two chalets. Nothing has been done to the inside of the chalets for many many years. Mold on wood in room as you open the door on the right bottom wall. Very dirty stained carpet inside entrance, Only 1/8 - 1/4 inch of the roll of toilet paper in bathroom. Soap dispenser in shower was empty. Bathroom sink did not have a stopper so difficult to wash face or hands; you either had to use cold water or hot water (which of course would burn you). Took ~12 photos of interior. Some windows were left a little open when I arrived to chalet. Thank you, FFW"
