It would be a little cramped if more than six people were staying and they had to stay inside for any length of time. The downstairs sleeping area is somewhat barren. “The owners are friendly and quick to respond. The house is cosy, and our whole family enjoyed our stay. We really liked the comforts of home, including the TV, and also really appreciated using the kayaks and fishing rods. My sons were fishing most of the time! Just a couple of little things we have for suggestion: the beds were not made, however, we had access to linen to make them up ourselves. It was useful having the washing machine and dryer, however maybe the dryer needs to be moved……

“The accommodation was as advertised. No unpleasant surprises. Wood fire kept the house cozy. We were there late autumn, it would have been a great addition to have a wall heater in the bathroom which was outside on the back porch. Otherwise I would recommend a stay for those who can tolerant Taranaki temperatures. The easy close walk to the Whangamomona Hotel was the icing on the cake.”
