"Great communication from the host, very clean cabin. Stocked with dishes and towels.The pictures really are from the back porch of the cabin, the view is gorgeous and secluded. Great for hiking trips to Pisgah National forest The only issue was there is a 10:00 or 11:00pm noise ordinance for the area and the cabin has a noise monitor for it, I didn't see that mentioned in the listing "

"The cabin was very remote and had great views. The patio was amazing. It was very quiet. Only thing you could hear was the brook way below the cabin. The email prior to arriving had great directions and made it easy to find. It was well stocked with everything we needed for our trip. The only thing I thought was missing that I could have used was a hair dryer. They also stated that if we wanted a later check out, it needed to be arranged prior. I reached out and they said it needed to be asked the day/night before. I reached out again and they never answered, so that was a little annoying, but we ended up not needed it luckily. The cabin itself was great and we would definitely want to return to this cabin as it was clean (there were a few bugs, but that is to be expected up in the mountains). I was also a little worried as there was a bathroom trash can that was filled with trash already and they are very strict about their two trash can limit, but that ended up not being a problem either as we only had one bag of trash by the end of our trip. The fireplace was great and they stocked us with plenty of firewood and kindling wood to get it started. They also had the fridge stocked with water which we also appreciated. We would recommend this cabin for a romantic getaway or even a group trip since there were three bedrooms. Just be aware that there are quite a few rules not mentioned before you book! "

"The Falling Water Lodge was the perfect place for my family to gather while in the area for a celebration of life for our loved ones. The view of Mount Mitchell is expansive and inspirational, a perfect reminder of this favorite and special place. The home has beautiful architectural details and comfortable spaces for recreation and relaxation. We enjoyed the privacy of the bedrooms (each with a view), game rooms (Pool Table and Ping Pong), outdoor fireplace, multiple decks (comfy chairs), open plan w/well-stocked kitchen, ample dining areas, and private nooks for quiet conversation all while surrounded by the beauty of nature (even spied on a den of foxes).
